I don't blame the baserunner too much, that should have been an easy catch.

And now this catcher is making further stupid mistakes
Just terrible baseball in every respect from this team today. Will be a well deserved loss if it happens.

He is fine for a #5 guy in my view in the current MLB.
We don't really have an injury depth at all in the organization, and we will need another starter at some point simply due to that, so if we got another #4/#5 that is fine as well

Jays rotation ranks 27th in the league in fWAR this year. I think they need to do more than that.

It should be Straw in CF and Lukes in LF the majority of the time, until Varsho comes back. I said this previously a couple of times. Clase makes Raimel Tapia look like a Competent Left Fielder. Clase should be in Buffalo with Alan Roden. Not sure what the appeal of this guy is.

Straw should definitely be out there more often than not as long as Varsho is hurt (and should be out there for the remainder of this game).
It would be one thing if Clase's bat was making up for the defense but he's been terrible in that respect too. I just have no idea what they're seeing in him.

If Gimenez just got hurt, that would indirectly lead to even more playing time for Clase. Not ideal.

2 of the 3 Red Sox runs were due to Clase. At least he's out of it now.

The right call made. Clase sucks defensively, and he should be joining Roden in Buffalo. I would even call up Joey Loperfido up at this point to replace him. The only thing Clase is good at on a regular basis, is when he helps dump the Gatorade on one of his teammates at the Rogers Centre with Vlad.

Good usage of Yariel the past couple of innings for sure, but do we even have the RPs to get through the next 3 innings?

Has Bichette been good defensively this year? I can’t remember the last time I saw a bichettebrick throw.

I don’t trust Hoffman with a 2 run lead

-5 DRS, so not really. Arm seems all right but the range is declining at this point I think.

The worst RP in the league Chad Green warming up after that Sandlin walk would suggest no

Hopefully they can tack on some more runs because I’m worried about blowmano 2.0
