Suns won the rockets trade. They won the Mark
Williams trade. They haven’t lost anything yet.
Sexton was leaving Utah. No one wants to play there. Jazz got a 2nd out of the inevitable

Ainge is up to something by trading for Nurkic. The Jazz has no need for Nurkic, unless they really need a rebounder and veteran big man.

Lakers would be highly interested in Richards, I would fleece them as much as possible.

Suns -
Jerami Grant
Robert Williams III

Blazers -
Bradley Beal
2 2nd round picks

Blazers move forward with a starting lineup of Jrue, Sharpe, Avdija, Toumani, and probably Clingan. Blazers likely trade DA to have Yang be the backup to Clingan for the year.

For the Suns, Jerami Grant is not a bad starting PF. He had a pretty awful year though averaging 14.4 points per game, shooting 37% from the field. Additionally, he only played 47 games. Suns probably buy out Robert Williams III to shed a little cap relief. Suns then sign CP3. Trade Nick Richards for cap relief.

CP3 / Gil
Booker / Green / Brea
Brooks / Dunn / Grayson
Grant / Fleming / Royce
Williams / Maluach

I have thought of this one -- if the Blazers want to get cap relief a year earlier than 2028. For the Suns, like you said, can buyout Timelord but have a PF in Grant who might be useful

Suns would need to get picks for Richards and possibly O'Neale &/or Allen... if the Blazers are interested.

Flex was putting out about LeBron to Phoenix - he was just trolling I think. But Flex also gave the obligatory "this front office has plans for this soft rebuild - stay tuned" and we have heard that the last two years.

Mark Williams is TBD. There is a reason he fetched what he fetched. 15/10 23 year old big men dont go for very late 1st rounders. And considering Suns just got a very good steal with Fleming, first round picks late or not CAN be very valuable if someone with so much potential slips, or 21+ year olds who tend to be good role player when they get to the NBA.

The Rockets trade is looking better, but again, KD is a 27/6/4 super efficient scorer who is above average to good defensively still.... so Suns lost a legit top 10 player 36 year old or not.
Jalen Green has to continue to improve and improve his shot selection and Maluach needs to also prove he isnt Thabeet version 2.

Rui for Nurkic perhaps

I don't care who gets Richards just as long as its at least 2 FRPs and no cash coming back

Didn't realize that Marc Stein also mentioned CP3 to Lakers / Mavericks is doubtful, and more likely is the Suns / Clippers.

I would trade Richards to the Lakers for a future 1st. I personally don't think Richards is worth a 1st round pick, and if the Suns are able to get one for him, I will just have to applaud the front office for making another solid move.

KD stats are empty. He’s like LeBron at this point. It’s easy to score in this era. But he can’t defend or rebound. Don’t know what you were watching last year

I'm sorry, but it'd be really dumb to just send Beal home to sit when we need to not only have his production (off the bench preferrably)! But also have him play to showcase himself for prospective teams in trade.

His contract and salary are what they are, and having him sit at home helps nothing, and doesn't help to recoup value perception from his in game production if he's not playing at all.

Sometimes I wonder if Windbag really thinks he's trying to help or he's some Dan Gilbert (Cleveland) operative just trying to make the situation worse for Ishbia and the suns to capitulate to Gilbert himself in their (Gilbert and Ishbias') pissing contest?? :dontknow:

Clippers just brought back Harden

If he is chasing a better team -- maybe its the Clips

I do think for young players - he would be a better mentor than Tyus Jones. And part of it is sitting on the bench talking basketball besides the minutes played

I’ve been saying this for months. Someone just needs to have the balls to sit him. A.) he doesn’t hurt himself B.) he knows he’s at the twighlight of his peak, ain’t no one wanting to watch their career go down the drain from the sidelines. I’m sure this would help persuade him to waive his NTC. And if he doesn’t? Oh well. We were on the hook for his contract anyways.

Beal has never been approached about a trade

Windbag is wrong in this case

I would ask Windbag - name five teams that would trade for Beal?

Might just end up back in Brooklyn but Ziaire Williams would certainly fit the Suns new type on a 2nd (3rd) draft flier for the minimum? (not a high priority obviously)

I think I’ve figured out Adam Silve’s algorithm.
Small market teams win the championship on odd years.
Big market teams win it even years.
This has been the theme since 2019. Also he’s not allowing for back to back champs anymore.
Raptors (debatable. Most players don’t want to live in Canada so I think they are small market in that sense).
Lakers
Bucks
Warriors
Nuggets
Celtics
Thunder
Next year should go to a big market team.
Suns had their chance in 21 so we have to go back in the queue.
27 and 29 will be our next opportunities to win.
26 will go to whichever big market team is the best.
Lakers, Houston, and Dallas look like the favorites in that algorithm for the west.
In the east there’s really only the Knicks unless Philly bounces back.

Sending Beal home is just nonsense. He’s just 32 years old still in the 27-32 prime years. Sorry but you don’t just “send All-stars home” just because their contract is inconvenient. When Beal gets minutes and gets his fair share of shots, he can still easily put up 20 PPG. You don’t just send that home. Just pure nonsense
