After picking up the Post option and tendering the QO to JK, the Warriors are about $15M under the 1st Apron. The full NTMLE is projected to be $14.1M.

They also have a club option, with a deadline today, of $2M+ for Gui.

Using the NTMLE has never been a viable option.

What if JK signs with another team and the dubs don’t match?

They'll have another $7.98M (JK's QO) under the Apron, so about 23M, with another 4 or 5 spots to fill (depending if they pick up Gui.)

Ed:Actually, even with Gui it's only 9 players and about 20M under.

Good catch and shoot player, not good on defense, very active off the ball.

So, based on the player's salaries or potential salaries, one of NAW, H.Jones and possibly a S&T D.Robinson could be one of the potential contracts coming back in a Kaminga S&T? I'm not sure if GS could get anything else with one of those players since to do the trade would the other team may be overpaying what they want to give Kuminga (~30 mil that first year).

I know I've heard Portis' name mentioned with GS this summer, he's off the board.

I wonder if Duncan and JK share the same agent. This is terrible for Duncan because he’s not getting anywhere close to that in his next contract.

Portis at less than $15m per annum and Nas at $25m per annum suggests JK is worth about $20m. Only the Warriors or nets can sign him to anything above NTMLE this offseason.

Incidentally, I’d love to get JK for 5/90. Heck even 4/90. Very trade-able contract.

Look at the date of his Twitter post. It’s from his original contract signed in 2021.

Slater saying that stretch vet center is a high priority, with Al Horford a preferred target. If we use the tpmle we get hardcapped at 207.8. So 170.9 + 5.8= 176.7 - 207.8 = 31.1 left to fill 5 spots. So we might have a little more than 20 M to give JK.

With the TPMLE, two vet minimums, and one 2nd rounder on a rookie contract, I have the Warriors at a hair over $180M for 13 players. That leaves $25.7M for the 14th roster spot to stay below the 2nd apron. Lower that to $24.7M with another vet minimum instead of a rookie minimum.
