Re: 2025 Free Agency News/Rumors
Magic declined Moe Wagner’s Team Option.
Vuc return?
Spurs Hornets Magic and Dubs could all use Vuc.
Wolves if they trade Gobert.
I’m scared AK would trade for Gobert. He’s 33. 3 seasons left in his deal.

Re: 2025 Free Agency News/Rumors
i don’t think orlando’s in a place where they can take back salary. they probably try to re-sign moe for cheaper on a longer deal given the injury
i’d definitely be interested in wagner if orlando isn’t keeping him though. real good backup offensive big

Re: 2025 Free Agency News/Rumors
Obviously we need a bit of everything, I think we really only have 2-3 long term players on this team currently. But what we need to be looking for in FA is not a guard, it should be a bigman to in theory take over for Vuc when he is traded and or a depth PF type.
Gotta figure:
Giddey/Ayo/Coby/Huerter getting most PG/SG minutes
P-Will/Okoro/Matas/Smith and maybe Essengue if he is ready are getting the SF/PF minutes - four of those five play very hybrid 3/4
Vuc/Collins have the C "locked" for now - neither one is a great option to have
With Terry/Phillips/Carter all being end of the bench guys
I want to see another forward/Center added for that final roster spot

If we trade Coby we are tanking.
Which I’m here for because you can’t really mess up top 5 next seasons draft. Franchise guards wings and Cs.

Re: 2025 Free Agency News/Rumors
the coby situation is funny for me because, i'm not particularly high on him as a player, and i think exploring a move for him before his contract expires makes total sense...but i have almost no faith that whatever return we get for him would be preferable to just keeping him around
feels like he's destined to get moved for another non-shooter and we'll be left with very little in the way of guys who space the floor and/or can create their own shot. we'll see though!

IF we are trading Coby, regardless of whether he is on an expiry or not, we can NOT come away with no first round picks. He is a legitimate starter quality guard who is still very young.
Why so serious?

I wouldn't be so sure about that. A lot of the deals the past year has barely involved picks. This could end up in a one for one players only transaction, which would be a disaster.
Why so serious?

We'll see. Still fun to think about the possibilities befure we get the usual AK disappointment.

We aren’t trading for Kuminga.
We have no where to play him.

Re: 2025 Free Agency News/Rumors
Wouldn’t be surprised to see something like
Kuminga S&T, two 1sts for Vooch and Coby
This way, AK gets his guy, keeps Chicago Ayo and picks to shush the no draft capital crowd
G Giddey / Jones
G Huerter / Dosunmu
F Buzelis / Okoro
F Kuminga / Essengue
C Smith / Collins

Good thought. I would say that if we were going for Kuminga, we'd need to trade Coby. That said, I thought we'd get more for Coby and be able to unload Vuc for Kuminga.
How would people feel if it was Coby for Kuminga straight-up (since we know that AK is Mr. Straight-up trader).

Re: 2025 Free Agency News/Rumors
maybe i don't think lowly enough of AK still, but i am shocked at how many people are acting like coby for kuminga is a trade that might actually happen
if you're signing & trading for a guy whose own team doesn't even really want to keep him, you give them some mediocre asset to make it worth their while and let them go "hey we got something for letting him walk!". you don't trade a young guy who fills a vital role for you and might well be your best player

OKC didn’t want Josh Giddey.

giddey wasn't a free agent, and alex caruso wasn't 25 years old

I would like the Warriors to be good. But I will be sad.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.
NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

OKC didn’t want Josh Giddey.
That’s not true. They didn’t intend to start him anymore so he asked for a trade. Presti and Giddey have both talked about how it went down.
Moreover, does GS want Kuminga? They have been saying the right things, but it really doesn’t smell like it.
Regardless, trading Coby for Kuminga makes little sense unless the Bulls envision Noa as a center (which would be odd).
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.
