That’s why you always play him with Giannis or Sims to have a real rim protector out there.

Offensively, we know he fits well with Giannis. Defensively, we know he can rebound.

They are not relying on him to protect the rim.

Also, if they let him walk, his salary slot evaporates.

Green is making this roster and I'm going to assume Andre is as well. 160.6 for 8 players

14.1 for some use of the MLE. Going to assume a combination of Trent/KPJ. 10 players 174.7

Rollins is back at 3 million plus 2 vet mins. 13 players at 182.1

Hey Brook how's 2 years 5.8 per year sound?

Here's where we are at with Bobby's updated number, and assuming Rollins stays at the qualifying offer.

As it currently sits, if we stay at 14, we could pay Brook up to 8.7M.

We could also sign and trade Brook which would allow us to bring someone in that makes up to that much without it impacting our MLE or BAE room.

It ain't much but I think if we signed Markovic to a minimum level deal as a second rounder it would be like 1.2, no?

Good start to the off-season. Feeling optimistic about what can be done after not seeing crazy money being tossed around the last couple days.

From who? the only team with real cap space is the nets. And we paid him 500k over the MLE

Detroit could create up to $24 million in cap space

and they dont need a center.

Seems like everyone likes the Bobby signing (although we haven't heard from Rilaman yet  ). That's rare for this board.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I would have preferred to see the Bucks bring in 2 new bigs, but given they have done nothing about getting a big for the future ever outside of late picks, this is fine.

How much is Moritz Wagner going to get on the open market?

Detroit's already paying Stewart $15mil/yr at C, Tobes $25 mil/yr at PF, will need to extend Duren, and likely need to spend to replace Beasley/THJ on the wing. They were never gonna go out of their way to pay Bobby considerably more than what we did.

There was rumors that they were. They wanted shooting at center, and i think they're done with Stewart's antics.

They might come after Green or Trent with the Beasley stuff going down.

Supposedly their priorities are NAW and Lavert.

Keep going back and forth on Trent Jr and Porter Jr and who I deem more valuable to retain. The chance to retain anyone even close to KPJ is below zero on the FA market. We would most certainly have to swing a trade or we could be looking at something like DLo trying to hold the fort down for Dame.

What’s a better situation if you had to choose, KPJ and a wing FA you can sign or something like Russell and Trent Jr as the starting back court?

I’m hitting the market for a Trent Jr. replacement and retaining KPJ I think..

Sure, but that's only 1 part of defense, and in the 3 point era, not the most important part. Brook is still a wall at the rim, yet or defense was actually better with Bobby on than Brook on.

We'll keep both, KPJ has no market, he's burned way to many bridges.

Im assuming both KPJ and Trent Jr resign? Is there still a pathway to get Wiggins?

could very well be. i just looked at the first round rookie scale and kind of prorated downward but didn't give it much thought beyond that. that definitely helps

We would need a team to want Kuzma for his salary for matching purposes most likely, either Miami or a third team gets involved.

Kuzma and PC to Miami for Wiggins works, or rerouting them for pieces Miami would want.

Follow that up by sending Brook to LA in a three team. Finney-Smith to Houston and Whitmore and Landale back to Milwaukee.

Rollins
Wiggins
Whitmore
Giannis
Portis

Could be fun. Or shift 2-4 down a spot and sub AJ Green in for Portis.

Ya we all know Bobby as a highly switchable great defender....
