James Harden Declines Option, Signs Two-Year, $81.5M Contract With Clippers

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Jun 29, 2025 9:03 pm

James Harden has declined his player option and has agreed to sign a new two-year, $81.5 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. Harden was traded to the Clippers during the 2023-24 season and re-signed on a two-year, $70 million contract.

Harden has a player option on the second year of the deal.

Harden averaged 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.7 assists on his way to an All-NBA Third Team selection as the Clippers exceeded expectations last season.

That’s a lot of money for washed up Harden.

Agreed, he lost his chance to win his ring in Houston. He could have run it back with CP3 the next year but he didn't want to play a real half court offense.

Clips aren't going to go deep in any series in the playoffs unless Kawhi is healthy near the end of the season and through the playoffs
