How soon can Randle be traded after this extension?

Re: The 2025 Wolves Off Season
Edit: Jaden and DDV have unlikely to be earned incentives of about 1.7 mil which count against the apron but not the cap.
So our room below the 2nd apron is actually about 8.1 million if the numbers on Randle and Reid are correct.

Depends on how it is structured.
If it contains more than 5% raises it triggers a rule that makes him untradeable for 6 months.
If not I dont think there are any restrictions.

FO did not pick option on Garza and Minnot. Make sense we just draft 2 bigs and others young seems more promising than Minnot.

Re: The 2025 Wolves Off Season
If we sign Tyus he will expect to start. That means Mike might be pushed out of the rotation in favor of giving the backup minutes to Dilly. I support this as a win now move.
Tyus/Dilly/Mike
Ant/DDV/Clark
Jaden/TSJ/Clark
Randle/Naz/Miller
Rudy/JB/Rocco (2 way.)
We still have one more roster spot to get to 14. I would guess a SF/PF hybrid on a vet minimum. I would be surprised if this 14th man gets any playing time. We could also Hinkie Rocco if he just want to fill space cheaply.

Anytime one of Gobert, Reid or Randle misses a game we will need a big who can step in and give us minutes. If we don’t think Miller or Beringer are capable of that, we need another PF/C.

I think there's a chance Beringer might surprise us. Otherwise, I think it's easier to find a backup C for the minimum than to find a rotation/spot starter PG for the minimum.

Since we know this front office likes to use its prior connections, here are some names I am watching:
Tyus Jones
Bruce Brown
Gary Harris
Elfrid Payton
Monte Morris
Jordan McLaughlin

I get it. Somebody like Tyus raises the team’s floor. I just worry it shortens Dillingham’s leash, and I’d like to see him get a legitimate opportunity. If we’re not going to play Dillingham this year, we should probably trade him.

Bruce Brown and Tyus would be amazing signs for us this off-season
Jones, Dillingham, Conley
Edwards, Brown
McDaniels, TSJ
Randle, Reid
Gobert, Beringer

I think possibly adding a PG actually could signal more of the end of Conley than it might about anything concerning Dillingham. I was actually even considering last night the possibility of Conley retiring and the Timberwolves waiving/stretching his contract.

Re: The 2025 Wolves Off Season
How about Tre Mann? With the Hornets now having Sexton and Ball, as well as Mann coming back from injury, he could be available to simply sign. He could be interesting in the backcourt if healthy

Re: The 2025 Wolves Off Season
Is Malcolm Brogdon washed? At one time, he would have been a great fit next to Ant. But he’s had a lot of injuries as he hit 30s. Maybe a vet minimum insurance type.

Who knows but the last time Finch had to choose between Conley and Dillingham, he was going with Conley.

Re: The 2025 Wolves Off Season
I guess a more general question that has come post KD conversations. Do we want to actually pursue a big move? Which pathway makes more sense as at this point. Personally I just don't see a path forward without replacing Randle for a significant upgrade as a secondary scorer regardless of position. We're making small moves rn, and I think it might be kind of a waste of our ever closing window.
