You would seriously rather have Westbrook than Harden?

I'm taking Russ at 4m over Harden at 41m.

Okay, but the Clippers really can't switch up anything until Kawhi expires, so I'm not sure what everyone wants them to do. They made their bed with the Kawhi extension, so right now the goal is to be a fun regular season squad (win 47-53 games) and maybe hope for some playoff success over the next two seasons, when they will have a clean cap sheet all over again.

Westbrook doesn't cost you $40 million a year...

This is the only answer here. He only is a regular season player who wilts in the playoffs? That's our best case scenario anyways, and Kawhi's got 2 years left on his deal. James has been the most important player on the Clippers since he's arrived, Sure the team is mid but they literally have no choice anyway.

We took Denver to 7 and all in all it was a pretty good year. If we had control over our draft picks then things are totally different, but we don't.

The tweet makes no sense. He gets a raise, but gives the team added flexibility?? That doesn't add up

All true- also, while he certainly has disappointing games in the playoffs, he also has great ones too- it is important to take advantage of the great ones- for example, the clippers failed to win game 1 despite his outstanding performance

He can still easily do that… one of the most under appreciated distributors of the modern era.

The second year is partially guaranteed. If it's a pretty low guarantee, maybe thats why he tweeted about giving them flexibility.
