Giannis took that dude's soul. He was genuinely a good center for Phoenix in that run and things were looking up for his career and then he gets swirlied and stuffed into a locker repeatedly by Giannis and he never recovered

The funny thing about the Beasley investigation is that in the game ESPN cited, the suspicious money came in on the "under" for his rebounds, but he went way over, so all the bets lost.

Yeah, you’re absolutely right. And unless Giannis can give it back to him, I don’t have any interest in him, dude just doesn’t seem like a winning basketball player.

God, I was a TT jock rider back in the day.paulpressey25 wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:aytons size coordination combo makes him playable even if he half asses it a decent portion of the time. Great comp.
Sigh.

TT could have been a HOF'r if you had to earn a new contact after every game
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Yeah.
People seem to forget but in those playoffs, Ayton was averaging 16/12/1/1/1 on 68TS% as a 22 year old in his first playoffs ever and till the finals he had vastly contained the all-star big men he had faced in that stretch.
Davis: 17/7/3 on 54TS%
Jokic: 25/13/6 on 53TS%
Not even going to mention the Clippers' bigs rotation, lol.
It wasn't till the finals that Giannis beat him senseless and broke him.
Not sure I'd want him on the team, as there seem to be a lot of ups and downs with him.

One positive note in Ayton is he helped lead to getting their coach fired, so I’d take him for that benefit alone.

Re: ATL - Portland Buying out Ayton
If the Bucks land Ayton the first time he shows laziness Giannis is gonna bust his ass which might do Ayton some good.

I’m almost certain Ayton will be a Laker but sure I’d take him

To get the most out of KPJ, we need a great culture around him, and that isn't Ayton.

The post wasn't to be negative on Ayton. I was just saying Ayton is known to take plays off. Giannis won't put up with with Ayton taking plays off that's all.

Fascinated to see what Minnesota does. They were already a 2nd apron but with them now committing a **** ton more salary to their front court, there's gotta be some sort of cost saving move coming. Dumping Conley and/or Donte into another team's TPE or MLE seems like the obvious move.

All-time favor for DeAndre Jordan here by both Woj and KD/Kyrie.

Depending on the asset attached, Conley could make sense for us as a stop-gap backup.

Great comp.
I see a lot of Timmy in Ace Bailey.
ETA: Just say no to Ayton. Remember when Boogie was still near his prime and signed for the minimum with Golden State? Some guys just aren't winning personalities despite their amazing talents.

Always felt like the "Brooklyn cap space" angle was way over-played, and now we'll likely get more news/movement on the mid-tier FA market. I still like the idea of Ty Jerome a lot as a fit. With Cleveland priced out and acquiring Ball, he's probably available for something closer to the tax-payer MLE than he is the full MLE.
