the one saving grace I will give the blazers is that Mike Schmidt is their draft guy/scout. I trust his judgment, but this is a big swing.garrick wrote:The Blazers might be one of the worst run franchises in the league.
First they draft Yang Hansen who most draft experts would be picked up in the 2nd round at #16 when they already had Klingan, Timelord and Ayton at center then they release Ayton for nothing getting nothing back in return and the aren't even over the 1st apron so it's head scratching why they wanted to release him to save a couple million dollars?
Good news for Ayton is he is free to sign with any team regardless of the 1st apron rules so he has plenty of places to choose from.

Yeah I kind of think even if we didn't trade him, we'd probably get to this position where we end up just buying him out. We really should've moved him for Turner if that was ever on the table

They are not beating the Thunder or T-Wolves with a 40 year old LeBron. Luka was also not the only reason that Dallas team made the Finals. Luka can impact a game with his scoring but defensively he needs to improve. With Ayton Lakers might be a 2nd round exit team. The NBA can help the Lakers all they want but unless they get Giannis it will be hard for them to make the Finals with Luka and LeBron. The main problem is LeBron is freaking 40. If he manages to stay healthy all of next season he really is a freak of nature.

Expect Ayton to play hard next year at the place where he can most easily showcase (which is the Lakers, playing next to Luka).
He'll then try to get a big pay day and either fool a team into giving him one, or pout that he didn't.

Please, don’t display that roster anymore.
How these F-ers have been shttting the bed at the PG slot is criminal. And Wishbia was once one. I would endorse having CP if we had drafted a youngster pg like Tourae or ? … but it’s a waste otherwise.
DLo is looming and at this point could be welcomed.
