Ayton is a big stiff who doesn't try on defense. He does have a good midrange shot, but he is just not someone who helps you win.

They ate the contract because no one wanted him. For low money maybe he gets interest, but his stock is bad and he has been in the league for several years now.

Indy may target him as they likely could use his on offensive game.

I don't think they wanted to trade him because Ayton is good, i think primarily because of the big men need. And rj doesn't hold that much of a value. That would be an 1:1 deal. Lakers probably #1 at Aytons list.
