Not going to lie. I would do whatever we could for a short one year deal with Ayton. Let him explore free agency again next year. But trade off Carter for a respectable PG and trade of Goga Jett and a future second for a backup SG/SF

IMO we cannot come out of this offseason with both Isaac and Goga on the roster together - Now that Isaac has bulked up and is no longer a PF they are redundant with each other and cost too much for 3rd stringers - one of them should be able to get us a useful bench offense guy maybe on a longer contract to "add value" form our end.

I'd also throw in Jett for nothing in the hopes the trading partner can spin it as "getting a recent lotto pick on their rookie contract". Can you imagine if we had just taken Lively instead of Jett? What a colossal screw up that was, and we all said so the moment it happened. Someone should be ceremonially fired for that one as a symbol of how every decision counts when you want to compete for a title....

Ill take Goga over Ayton. he is mentally weak. Look at Portland trading for him and then drafting centers in the next 2 drafts.

My thought process would just be to rid ourselves of both Carter and Goga while getting some return and using Ayton as a one year rental. Our Center position is literally our 5th option now. So eventually we just need an average center at best for cheap after this coming year.

At one level it sounds ridiculous. But if the Bucks wants a free player, then a SnT for 5.5M on Trent does exactly this.

One question would be: can Trent get more money elsewhere.

I think he can get the MLE on a bad team.
On a good team, anything under $8 million is ripping him off.

There are some interesting names becoming available (Fontecchio) or are now free agents (Juzang) that strengthen our list of options.

Why don't we ever hear from Anthony Parker, isn't he our GM?

Would we consider trading for Jordan Clarkson?

I would like to keep JI if he can produce like season before last. But if we think he'll continue to regress, a one-year rental/expiring contract of Clarkson for quick offense off the bench (at the expense of defense) isn't the worst idea.

He's also not a black hole when he has the ball.

Utah may waive him if they can't trade him. I don't think they want to take back a few players in a trade because they don't have any roster spots.

Absolutely not. We dumped Cole not to bring on a similar version of him in Clarkson.

NAW has been in Miami for a while. It looks like he may have a house down there now. If Miami signs NAW, they may not bring back Duncan Robinson. I'm not really a fan of Duncan.

He just got bought out. He can be the scorer we need off the bench.

For $3 or 4m, he'd be perfect.
