This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

in the business, they call that "a tease." It does look like everyone's predictions of a crazy summer was way off, it is going to be certifiably insane. My prediction is that Lebron, Giannis, and another top 15 player is traded, today (or at least the trade leaks today).

I'm going to go with Shams as being credible saying that then just being a "tease". With trades of KD, Bane, Porzingis, Pool/CJ McCollum, M.Williams, Sexton/Nurkic, and Holiday/Simons, it's been one of the most active summers of good to top level players (KD) before July 1st in a long, long time. With teams having little to no cap space for FA, trading is going to have to be utilized more.

a tease, in this case, being something that makes the audience from changing the station during commercials. Does not have to be fake to be a tease. I wasn't calling it clickbait, just a well marketed, early morning tweet on the first day of FA.

Re: Around the NBA V: Live and Let Die
A bit of a bummer the way things have played out so far. I don't blame Dunleavy, or necessarily think there's anything he *could* have done so far to compete with the teams getting these players. Myles Turner would have been perfect, and I think he signed for a very reasonable amount. I'm not sure if we had a practical way to get him, but the Milwaukee plot twist is fascinating.
Looney leaving is sad. I'm not sure it really will make a huge difference in our results, but hard for me to say a bad thing about the guy.

This is probably more about Milwaukee stopping Lillard from going to Miami and now with him injured (out for the season) they just toss him to the side, Giannis is big into loyalty and this is the absolute opposite. This is one of the things I really like about Giannis.

Re: Around the NBA V: Live and Let Die
Does replacing Brook Lopez with Myles Turner make them much better?
Not so sure but supposedly Giannis was recruiting Turner.
Lakers were counting on Giannis leaving and they would have pounced if he hit free agency next summer. He may still go to free agency or ask for a trade if the Bucks aren't that much better than last season.

No, because their starting pg, sg, and sf are barely nba players.

Yeah... in a vacuum, I'd say that's a pretty big upgrade at center. But do I think it makes them a viable contender, especially with Lillard not only out, but now out of town? I really don't at all.
