No. We don't have cap space and we're re-signing him with bird rights. We can use the NT MLE regardless.

Giddey has no leverage. His best option would be to take the QO and go into unrestricted FA next year. That's prob NOT good for the Bulls past this year, however. If Giddey continues to progress, his asking price could near 40 mil with another 20/8/8 type of year, especially if his 3p% stays around 40%. Bulls would be best using the current market to their advantage now, and trying to sign him long term for 5/125. Just do the opposite of whatever they did with Patrick Williams last offseason
