A good point that raises an interesting question: Which of the main core starters (plus Stew and Holland) are most likely to get traded, if we elected to fill holes by trading?

I’m fine with Duncan Robinson if that is the move. I think he can provide about 75% of what Beasley did in the same role.

Wasnt he playing more of a forward role with the heat? Or maybe even a PF role.

Re: Pistons related Free Agency Thread
Duncan Robinson has a history of going ice cold and having reduced playing time because all he brings is making a jump shot and playing bad defense.
Seems like a bad idea.

Robinson just got 90mil from the Heat. I'm trying to tell yall if the Celtics accept a Tech+Sasser deal for Simmons, make it happen. Unless yall are going to happy with Levert

I really don't want the Pistons going backwards, especially with Indy, Boston, and Milwaukee with main guys out for the entire year.

I think we was completely out of the rotation with the Heat two years ago, and for the reasons you just mentioned. I never understood why Riley went after him, since he's not a Heat type of player (but neither was Dion Waters)

Ty Jerome likely heading to the Grizz, according to Stein. Maybe some hope for Aldama-to-Detroit?

That’s pretty cheap for him. His stats are actually pretty impressive.

If Jerome is Grizz bound, does that mean Pippen Jr is more available? Can’t play both those guys.

I'd assume Anthony is out, at least.

Re: Pistons related Free Agency Thread
I don’t understand people’s desires to sign Robinson or Levert and I’m a Michigan slappe. Neither one can play a lick of defense. A much better choice would be Nikeal Alexander Walker. Plays d and shoots a good clip from the 3. 2 or 3x the defender then the others. If you can get him or Aldama for the MLE you do it. Resign Dennis and see what u got with Ivey this year. If Aldama works out you have Tobias, Sasser, Fonte, all as pieces you can try to move for whatever u can get. We have a bucket of second round picks to attach to those players. It’s likely a team looking for a proven vet scorer would offer us a very late first round pick for Tobias and a few seconds if they thought it would help them win a title. This isn’t our year for a title yet. This year is more about the future. People don’t want to hear that but this year decides if we resign Ivey and Duran to long term big money deals.

Something I've thought about a bit in the last 24 hours. Everyone says, "Strike while the Celtics/Pacers/etc. are down - try to win the East this year!" But if Schroder and Beasley are both gone, does it make sense to think more long-term than this year?

Re: Pistons related Free Agency Thread
I want to get out of free agency with one of Aldama/JCollins (really low expectation option of Laravia) and NAW or Ty Jerome level players at the minimum. We need a PF either solid backup or of the future, and a beasley fillin/replacement.
A Levert signing means that Langdon has no idea WTF he is doing.

Re: Pistons related Free Agency Thread
Al Horford would be another great vet pickup. I know it doesn't solve any type of long term issue for us, but he played HS ball in Michigan and he is likely wanting to sign with a playoff team with Boston taking an off year. Brook Lopez also would be a solid get if we're really set on wanting a stretch big. Both high character guys who can defend and shoot.
