Roger’s playing days were before my time so this should be fun to watch.

The new generation Cowboys fans won't even come close to appreciating this series. They take things like America's Team and Captain America for granted.

What if the intro is showing Dak with the announcer saying: "There have been many great Cowboys QBs..." ?

Please. It would be shameful and sinful to put Dak in the same breath as Roger. :noway:

The entertainment industry is so dead. They are constantly re-releasing stories from 30+ years ago.

I’m betting there will be as many if not more Eagles fans to watch this than Cowboys fans. Lol

Will watch. This and the Jerry one.

I am trying to figure out why the hell Netflix using a picture of Gilmore for this though? Am I missing something here? Is he connected to Roger in some way?

Can't imagine why that would be. The St. Louis Cardinals were much tougher opponents in the division than the Egals back then. We barely knew Philly even existed back then. The Big rivalry back then was the Redskins. The Cowboy/Redskin rivalry was actually the NFL's biggest rivalry game twice a year. The Cowboy/Egal rivalry didn't start and develop till the 90's. So I see why Egal fans wouldn't want to relive the 70's. Awful time for them. :D

There's nothing to "relive" when you weren't alive in the 70s.

I prefer contemporary SB wins over ones that are ancient history.

Roger is not just about football. The guy made billions in business, served in Vietnam, and he could have easily been Gov of Texas but turned it down and W Bush ran instead. I have no doubt had he been Gov he would run for President in 2000 and win.

He made WAY more money in real estate after he retired than he ever did playing football. In the 90’s there were “The Staubach Company” signs all around Dallas. If you’re familiar with the Dallas area he owned most of the land that eventually became Addison, Uptown, and Plano, just to name a few. He was a brilliant real estate guy.

Roger was way too much of a perfect gentleman for the political world.

I liked what he said in response to being compared to Joe Namath. He said something along the lines of “I love sex as much as Joe Namath, I just do it with 1 woman.”
