Any interesting potential vet min guys?

Terence Mann and Emoni Bates both had team options get declined. Both would fit nicely from a positional perspective too. Would rather have either of those guys than bring Prince back.

Wiggins is a very good switchable defender- the kind the Bucks need.

The contract is an issue vis a vis the apron, but Wiggins has actual bball skills and value. Kuzma has very little.

He will not make us a contender and he is owed alot of money. Just my opinion. Rather would had Mids at 30 this year rather than had Kuzma at over 40 for 2 years. Rather have Kuzma at 40 than Wiggy at over 85 over 3 years.

All your points are valid and need to be considered if this deal is an option.

It's where you equate Kuzma and Wiggins that I disagree. I cetainly can see a future where we get Wiggins and this board, including me, are criticizing him all the time.

With Wiggins, an upside at least actually exists. Can’t say the same about Kuzma.

So is this Portis contract just opting in, one more year, and then a new PO with 8% raises? That would come out to 43.56 which would definitely get rounded up in reporting. 3 year MLE with 5% raises would be 44.4.

Tre Mann, sure. No way to Bates. Terance Mann is a Net. Terence Mann is James Earl Jones in Field of Dreams. Terence Stamp is The Limey (this one is just to remind myself).

Agreed. Maybe things eventually click for Bates but we can definitely do better on a vet minimum than what he's shown to be so far. I would take Prince back in a heartbeat over Bates.

Any interest in signing Moritz Wagner? It sounds like he’ll be healthy before the season starts. He would be a younger stretch big who could start next to Giannis. Not sure what his market will be but we could use the remainder of our MLE to sign him and the BAE to resign KPJ.

I don't think Giannis likes Mo very much.

Emoni Bates had his option declined because he doesn’t have it at this level. Easy, easy no.

Not even an option. He was on a two-way and they non-tendered him. It doesn't get anymore not it than that.

Wonder if they'll stretch Pat or do some type of Pat for Javon Carter type deal to save a few million.

We are without a doubt paying the tax. The new rules state you have to be out of the tax for 2 years to avoid the repeater tax, and that isn't happening. We can use our TPE or take back more money in trade.

In Nehm peice today. Per league sources bucks would like to avoid the luxury tax this year.

But remember per this poster. Without a doubt we are paying the tax and Bobby is a plus defender. Amazing

I never said Bobby was a plus defender, and yes, the Bucks are paying the tax.

It's might even start out at 13.4, with 8% raises

I'd love that. Saw his player option was declined. Wonder what his price tag will be? Have to imagine you could get him and still keep a guy like GTJ as opposed to soaking up the rest of the space we have on a guy like Alexander-Walker.

Me too. He’s only 24 too. Bright future .

It all depends on the medicals of his back.

I'd like Charles Bassey as our 3rd center.

Would you rather have Charles Bassey as our 3rd center, or Charles Barkley as our 3rd announcer? Behind Novak, of course.

Thanks, Doc.

It's not 85 over 3, it's 58 over 2 (vs. 42 over 2 for Kuzma). So his deal expires at the same time as Kuzma and it's about ~8mil more per year. I honestly don't think that's a huge difference, and he's a considerably better player than Kuzma imo. Which isn't an endorsement of Wiggins, but rather just how hilariously bad Kuzma was this past year. Like he might've literally been the worst player in the league getting 20+ mpg. Wiggins is frustrating but he's way better than that at least and it'd make a noticeable difference on court.
Website I use hasn't updated yet. My bad for assuming it was.Lol. Mute anyway since why would Heat want Kuzma anyways?

Yup. He is a career 16/10 guy and in his prime. Would've been the starter for an NBA Championship team if his Suns didn't run into the greatest team in NBA history in the Finals.
