I hope that we can still catch someone (actually only one) between:

Tyus Jones
Schroeder
Brogdon

These are my favourite in that list..

Its not exciting, but I'd take Tyus from that list.

Schroder is looking for more than we can afford and I don't know if Brogon has anything left.

It was the money. A minimum is one thing, but we need the space for the TPMLE. I would prefer Minott or a ln undrafted to Ingles, but the money for the PG is what I was pissed about.

I just don't see Minott being happy glued to the bench in his 4th year. Its better for everyone if he tries to find a team where he has a chance to play.

And that’s essentially what the quoted tweet implied. He was not happy, and he’s the one that wanted to move on from us to try and find playing time.

Oh....What about Vit Krejci coming back from ATL in a NAW deal?

6'8 PG, just turned 25. Can shoot and was a positive defender last year. Makes 2.4M next year, so that would leave us some wiggle room during the year.

Literally has a massive wolf tattoo.

All of you TC defenders, remember this when we get bounced in the playoffs because we lack a ******g PG and cannot sign one with the full TPMLE now! TC needs to GTFO!

Why wouldn't you just want Rob to play more rather then playing some scrap heep point guard?

Fairly certain I saw his option was picked up/guaranteed, but currently not finding it.

Good enough for me for now. I'll now believe that Miller is a done deal.

Naz Reid went undrafted and became something more. Other teams have found value in undrafted players. If you ask me would I rather have the Ghost of Joe Ingles, or a cheaper minimum (gives us a couple hundred K more to work with if we need a #15 later in the season,) and the possibility (however slim,) of finding a diamond in the rough. I would prefer the undrafted. Then again Finch got rid of Garza so the bench needs a new mascot.

Edit to add: I just read John Collins is being bought out. If we moved Randle for a PG and still had the roster spot, we could have signed Collins on a minimum/cheap deal to backup Naz. Another option not on the table now.

I would see $20M as max, but when it comes to NBA contracts nothing shocks me.

If we sign and trade and take a player back doesn’t that hard cap us below the first apron? Pretty sure all we can get back are picks.

I think Jordan Clarkson could be another player that can help us out with bench scoring and someone who can create his own shot.

1. Rob sucked a good chunk of last year.

2. Mike is 38 and was showing his age quite a bit last year. I would rather move Mike to the 3rd string.

3. Tyus is who I want. This as a PGOF would be very helpful for Ant and very good for the bigs.

Naz Reid joined a team that won 19 games. Plenty of opportunity for playing time.

We're a back-to-back WCF team already trying to develop anywhere from 4-6 players.

Point Guard of the Future. Tyus is 29. In 6 years by the time he is 35 and in the twilight of his career (he was born in May,) Ant will be 30. Seems like a solid back court duo.

Most players start declining at 30. Guys who last like Conley are the exception and not the rule.

I know what it means. I was just questioning the idea.

Tyus is perfectly cromulent. But that's it. The idea of Tyus is great. Good shooter, great assist/turnover ratio, doesn't seem to really hurt you defensively - until the Playoffs.

But he really just doesn't move the needle. He's safe and basic and kind of blah. He's like the perfect Flip Saunders PG. Pass to the open man for the assist, don't do anything reckless, don't gamble, don't push things. Stay in your lane.

He took a minimum deal last year to try to improve his value and he ended up getting benched for a kid on a 2 way...

If Tyus doesn’t work out then Tyus doesn’t work out. It is a low risk proposition with a potential for medium to high reward. Meanwhile, Dilly showed an alarming lack of shooting consistency on top of his other weaknesses last season. While I hope he improves this season, I don’t expect him to be in the NBA in 2028/29 when his first deal expires. I suspect he is new Jarrett Culver. Time will tell.

I'd take him. He'd be a benchmark for Dilly to surpass.

Welp, I'm disappointed. Running it back, we can and probably will have a better season, the team really came together down the stretch so we should be competing in the top 5 of the west next season. Still, I don't see how we get past OKC. Maybe another team takes them out, though and that problem is eliminated.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.
