Are there any secondary ball handlers/backup point guards available for the taxpayer MLE or vet min that actually play good defense? Someone like Tre Jones is solid defensively for a point guard but he is also very small.

I really wanted Kolek to get more time last year and this year but I don't love the idea of 48 minutes of poor undersized defense between Brunson and the back up while also having some other poor defenders on the team. How are guys like Tre Mann and Tyus Jones on the defensive end?

Jones is a nice back up PG that can spell some starter mins in a pinch but he's a defensive liability, I though he was better on defense although he was getting abused in Phx last season...Knicks might not have the money to lure a wider array of options, so if he comes cheap then sure, an upgrade over Terry Johnson.

you have to also take into consideration agents are leaking stuff at this time to garner interest for there clients.

There are no guarantees New York is offering the full extension Bridges will be eligible. The market has shown the third bananas will not get close to 40 million a year. Bridges is not better than Randle. He should be paid somewhere around 3/100 or 4/140 at most.

I don't buy like 90% of them...a big reason the coach got fired was playing Hart too much with his spacing issues. To be targeting even a worse shooter doesn't make any sense.

Who would be the best defender to share the floor with Brunson when needed? Tyus, Dlo, Tre Mann, Clarkson or WB?

I Wonder if it would be better to roll the dice and hope for a relatively healthy Brogdon, who would be a better option in a anther dimension where he was durable.

Another Good option would be Melton. Less ofense but better defense.

I think no matter what happens they’re not gonna play the same starting lineup. Josh probably will be a 20 something minute player here for now on.
