Horford was excellent last year. The questions is does he have 2 years left or just one? If he has 1, then he is useless here. It's a tough spot for both thise guys. I guess it is Queta, Tillman and Williams and probably some bum for this year after we trade Simons.

He's talking about contract sizes.

And those contracts will make JB's look pretty good.

Booker's gonna get 70mil per year. :o

This is why people getting on Brown are silly. He was Canary in the Coal Mine. He isn't going to have a top 10 salary by the end of next year.

Just play young guys.
There is no point for Al to stay here.He can sign some kinda 1+1 and come back next year if he wants to retire as celtic.
Luke should take as much money as possible from any team as hes allready turning 30 and might not get that kinda money ever again

I'm just saying the likelihood of him being good at age 40 is small. I'm for letting him walk if he can get a good contract. If he wants to stick around for vet min, great. Otherwise, thanks for your service, Al.

Agree. Horf had a great career as a Celtic, could make a case that after Russell, Cowens, Parish, McHale and KG that Al Horford was the next best bigman in Celtics history.

He will have a job offer to come back to the team down the road, Im sure.

Brown's supermax goes up by 8% a year. It will remain a bad contract, imo. More importantly, having two supermax contracts makes it really hard to flesh out a good roster with the penalties of this CBA.

He's going to be good next year. In two years? No idea. He might not even want to think year to year. I want him back for two years on the cheap, but I can' blame any of thse one year guys leaving. It makes no sense to stay here with JT out. Waste of a year.

Its not a bad contract. He is an elite reoneau pakyer and a top 20 player and will likely be all nba this year with no Tatum.

He's a very good player, for sure. Is his contract worth the percentage of the cap that it takes up? From my perspective, no. I can see how others might disagree, though.

The luxury cap goes up 10% a year.

Also, what young guys?

We got Queta, Tillman, Niang and Williams as bigs.

No whining when starting bifhtnis Queta, Niang in the front court.

Even if they sign Horford and Kornet, they're still going to be looking for a center going into the following season when JT returns. Kornet is a serviceable starter and a good backup, but ideally you get someone better. Horford will be 40. You're still going to be searching for your long-term answer at center.

Rather get out of the luxury tax this year to avoid repeater tax and then for the next X number of years be in it while reloading the team for another core around JT

You aren't tanking with JB and White on the team though. As currently constructed, they're still a playoff team.

The luxury cap goes up 10% a year.

And his contract goes up 8% a year. It'll be ever so slightly less bad.

Rumors going around that Portland bought out Ayton as part of a Jerami Grant trade
&
Rumors going around that Utah bought out Clarkson as part of a Walker Kessler trade

That all four will end up on the Lakers

LA always gets their big man.

Inevitability at it's finest.
