The fact that the Westbrook stuff leaked makes me think it's false. Leon is many things, but he doesn't leak stuff.

With that said, I wouldn't mind Westbrook coming off the bench if he's cheap. Probably better than most other vet min guys we can barely afford.

You’re 100% right but I think there’s genuine interest on our half. Russ checks a lot of boxes of stuff we need.

We lost a lot of toughest when Ihart and we traded Randle and Donte. He brings that. We’re in need of another ball handler and it’s a major bonus if they’re big enough to play next Brunson. That can give Jalen some possession off ball. He can do this. Adds another good rebounder that can help push on the break. Also could see us being talked into the idea that he’d be an 8th or 9th man here that there be less chance of him shooting you out of games.

Now this isn’t an endorsement but I think it’s real.

Yeah, I like hart but he is really just a 20 mpg player, similar to sexton. Sexton gives us much needed shot creation and play making. A plus is that sexton gives max effort as well.

But then you have again at least like 10-15minutes where you have to play a super small backcourt.

there are way more guards that can score that come available...losing a wing for a guard is simple something we can't handle right now. Hart for all his faults was nearly in the all-star convo last year. I think overuse he started to fall off a bit but I can't be trading Hart for a guard.

Sexton might be max effort but he's smaller and not a POA defender so he can't play alongside brunson. I don't see the value.

IQ and Brunson worked so I would give it a shot with Sexton. I like hart (wanted the Knicks to get him since he was a pelican) but it’s hard to win a chip with him since we’re 5 on 4 with his non ability to shoot.

they probably getting him for cheap but man I don't see the fit. he's not a wing...he's a guard. He isn't a great shooter. He can score but not efficiently.

This just seems like we are desperate for depth we will take anyone that can put the ball in the basket even if the fit is odd.

I think the FO should be looking at one of two things.

Guys that can either hit a 3 or defend (ideally with some size)...ideally both together (but that is tough to come by with how little funds we have).

I would have to dive into Clarkson C&S potential because is raw 3 pt numbers are rough.
