A Levert signing means that Langdon has no idea WTF he is doing.

I think Caris is a desperation “JB liked him in Cleveland” move.

I was not on board with paying Ty Jerome full MLE $, but if Memphis is reportedly going to get him for $9 million per year I think we could beat that. Of course its possible they are going to offer him Bane's starting spot which could be more appealing to him than coming off the bench for Ivey.

On a per minute basis, Ty Jerome really came in and filled it up for the Cavs.

Ty Jerome 19.9 MPG, 43.9% from deep and 12.5 PPG (22.7 Points per 36/min)
Beasley 27.8 MPG, 41.6% from deep and 16.3 PPG (21.1 Points per 36/min)

3 years $30 million or even 2 years $22 million seems like really decent value for him.

There's a good thread on the general board about guards who are not two-way players, and how they're going to struggle getting paid this offseason.

If we're rehashing old Pistons I would probably rather have Bruce Brown Jr. I could see him go back to Denver though. Alec Burks for the minimum also wouldn't be the worst.

Is he even a credible source anymore?

I guess we better hope he isn't.

Schroder is supposedly getting 2 years in the neighborhood of 30 million, and a starters job with the Kings.

So yeah, THAT's why there were no indications we were trying to retain him. We're outbid both money wise and role-wise. Can't even be mad.

Still really, really, really hoping we do better than Caris...

At this point y'all just throwing out names just because y'all got fingers to type. How tf are y'all so desperate BEFORE free agency? Aren't we supposed to be "running it back", anyway?

Schroeder has wanted to be seen as a starter and that wasn't going to happen here. Appreciate his work while he was here, and he earned this chance with his playoff performance IMO.

Should start seeing some concrete news in about 8 minutes- not necessarily Piston related.

Never thought we were going to re-sign him anyway

Crickets.

I guess that expectation was based on past years when there were more free agents to be had.

Agents are now waiting because one year a team got investigated when it was announced a few minutes before FA starts that a FA was going to a specific place.... I think agents will wait for 15-30 minutes past 6pm before they message out done deals so it doesn't look like deals were done behind closed doors before they were supposed to be done.

It's kind of hard to run it back with a 319-3pt-sized hole in your offense if you keep the rest the same..... y'all... ;)

I was confused for a second given this is the Pistons-related Free Agency Thread... but maybe my expectations are wrong about what should get posted here.
