Kind of flies in the face of just re-sign our guys to maintain their value and we can still flip 'em. Sometimes, you're stuck and now if you don't play Clarkson, he becomes a malcontent in the locker room. Probably gonna have to just waive the guy (if he won't give me back some bread in a buyout).

Ainge has stunk for quite some time. He did have a couple of good trades, but overall he was not a repeatably good GM.

Unfortunately (for Boston), I think he is. We'll have to see what happens in the coming days but everything Boston has been doing is shedding salary and I think Luke can command much more than his previous contract.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
And Clarkson agreed to a buyout. Yup, had to get him out of there because he would have never accepted not playing to act as a vet mentor.

NBATV has been showing reruns of playoff games all month while transactions were popping off and now they're live on TV all day today and absolutely nothing has happened haha. Basically been talking about Lebron and Kuminga for 3 straight hours. Should get some news soon though.

It's been 6 minutes and nothing happened!

NBA must have sent a memo telling teams to wait a while and pretend they didn't tamper.

Nah, now that official tampering is allowed everything just gets leaked earlier now. Kind of sucks because it was way more fun having Woj Bombs dropped left and right like before.

So in 2026-2027 we are going to have only 7% salary cap increase. With the increase capped at 10% and with the massive spike in the national TV deal, I expected a 10% increase for the foreseeable future, but there is a decline in the RSN which are slowly going away, and there is no way for the league to get that money back locally. The 2027-28 projection at 170 mil was supposed to be for 2026-27, Some of the deals that have 8% increase are going to look worse.
