I dunno, I feel like their offensive chemistry would be pretty good, maybe enough to make that work.

They have same agent and I believe have been buddy buddy since the draft.

Wouldn't do too much for their defensive gameplan, apart from the rebounding, but the offense would be pretty sweet. He's mid/late 20s, pretty athletic, good build. He's EXCELLENT on offense as a supporting weapon with good passers, so...

I’m not that sure of his offense either. He settles a lot for jumpers, isn’t efficient at it and therefore doesn’t draw fouls. He’s ok if he’s your back up 5 but even that I don’t trust because his motor runs so low.

Phoenix Ayton and Portland Ayton... the difference is having a PnR playmaker worth his salt.

All the talk about “competing timelines” and “building for the future,” but Luka can just walk after the season if Rob screws this up once again. Lebron stuck with LA because, unfortunately, he cared about living in LA more than he cared about winning at that point in his career. No way I’m committing long term to the Lakers if I’m Luka. The organization is dogs***.

If DFS was willing to sign for something like that number in LA letting him go seems like a real whiff.

They might win 50+ games just by virtue of having Luka but this team isn't a serious contender and the guy running the show is awfully bad at his job. I wouldn't sign that extension if I were Luka.

LaRavia is a decent bench forward with some upside at a cheap number though, so kudos for that.

The thing is, Dallas trading him cost him a ton of money. Something like 60-80mil. Who even has cap space? Locking in an extension and getting his money is the first priority.

Now, forcing his way out after the fact can happen. But that's a 2027 off-season and beyond concern. That extension is getting signed.

Another offseason of Rob Pelinka committing war crimes. He’s just laughably bad at his job.

Thank god LeBron has a NTC. This scumbag organization would trade him to Siberia if it could.

Big loss. Was the team's most valuable defensive player.

If this ‘Pelinka bad mouthing DFS’s knee health to tank FA value’ is true - woof.

Yup, another horrific move

Wasted 3 SRPs basically

How many assets will this team waste?

Assuming we will sign Ayton now, but if we dont, Lebron should ask out

Laravia for piece of mle is meh, but the FA class is quite weak

Would have been pretty happy with DFS, sign Laravia with BAE if they wanted and then gotten Ayton with mini mle (assuming he would take it, only like 2.5-3m more than we can offer him rn)

Who are some good BAE targets?

Seems like Melton. He is a great fit if he is healthy, but coming off an acl surgery, I just dont know.

He would fill the POA role....but still need a wing stopper

Ayton is a clear target.

Grimes, GTJ, Horford, CP3, Yabu, THJ, Dinwiddie, Precious, Boucher, Nance, Mann, GP2, Hayes, Brogdon, Simmons, Payne

Some good stuff here available.
Simmons would be a good get I think but you probably need to move Vando.

I wouldnt classify much of that as good lol

Ayton is a solid C and would be very nice for the MLE

Grimes likely gets more elsewhere
GTJ off the board
I would be cool with Horford as a way to play 2 bigs
Cp3 going to LAC or Suns and a poor fit I think
Yabu is a meh/bad fit
None of those guards are good or good fits. Gp2 maybe the best bet. Melton would be solid if he is 80-90% of what he was pre acl injury
Boucher maybe the best 4/5 stretch option besides Horford

Ben Simmons can be interesting if we move Vando and get Horford/Boucher

So its very clear that getting a wing stopper will need to be from a trade

Wiggins
Dillon Brooks
Would Sac trade Keegan Murray?

Lakers are $15m below first apron and have 3 spots to fill.
They have $8.3m and $5.1m and a VetMin deal to give out.

Rob's pulling an all time classic. Even if he does a couple of good trades, his FA game has been abysmal. Gotta say even i impressed
