Cam makes way less money than MPJ in the remaining 2 years of his contract so I guess Denver will use the savings to add some much needed depth to their team.

Denver loses a lot of salary, I think they now have access to the full TPMLE, which is huge for them, could get a really nice player with 14.5 mil a year.

Would love to see someone like N. Walker Alexander there.
Or just split it on two good role player, that would be huge for their depth.

Cameron Johnson makes a lot less than Michael Porter Jr. Johnson makes $21M this season and $23 million next. Porter Jr. makes $38 million this season, $40 million next.

It makes sense Denver would give up a 2032 first-round pick to free up money to add talent around Jokic.

Really like this trade for both teams. Denver gets better (which is terrifying), and the Nets get a valuable future pick and space to let all those guards they drafted play. It'll all be about the tank for 2026 for them anyway.

I think it’s a good deal for both teams. MPJ certainly has the higher upside but Cam playing with Jokic should see an uptick in efficiency.
