Wrong tweet...
Jerome for the room exception is amazing value.

Surprised it’s not for the MLE.

No other team willing to outbid?

Get that bag, Ty. Not really sure why Memphis was this hot on him but he's a good get at that price.

Nice 6th man on that contract. Playoffs likely cost him the MLE.

Memphis just put a bow on their offseason.

The Cavs could have afforded this still, right?

I am quite confident in our bench led by Ty - SPJ.

They had the ability to offer that, yes. But it would've all been DEEEEEEP in the tax.

Lowkey like the Memphis off-season and they still have most of the Bane return.

This will take a little pressure of Coward needing to hit from day one. I have been harping on needing a real 6th man for years, and we finally have a decent one now, I didn't think we could get him for the room exception. One of our better offseason's in a while on paper right now...still need to see the details on Cole's buyout and if we paid anything else to dump money.

Its possible they passed for that reason if they felt that Jerome wasn't going to help them, but Gilbert has been known to dig deep so something had to have been going on there.

I doubt the Cavs didn't put in an offer

I concur. Cole has been bought out?

Would have preferred this deal to DFS.

Does he start in Memphis?

I laughed a little every time someone predicted he was going to get an above MLE deal, some upwards of 20 a year. This seems like the right deal, good deal for Memphis.

He may just end up a stretch waive. I think that gets them close, if not all the way there?

pretty sure I saw a post today suggesting that....

but yeah people got out over their skis on him, but people always get excited about unexpected seasons from guys on their team. We had Mavs fans ready to coordinate Dante Exum for like 8 solid games 2 seasons ago when Luka was out lol. Now if Dallas can clear a roster spot he's likely back for a min deal...

I think we start Ja-KCP-Wells-JJJ-Edey.
Bench is Ty-SPJ-Cedric-Aldama. Looks pretty solid.

Depends on what he give back, hope it is about 5m or so since I think that is about all we needed to get JJJ upto the 33m. Hopefully just a buyout and not a stretch.
