So its early but as of now -
Edey/Clarke
JJJ/Aldama
Wells/Coward/GG
KCP/Jerome
Morant/Pippen

GG seems to be the odd man out? Or they go small and Clarke doesn't get mins.

They had the ability to offer that, yes. But it would've all been DEEEEEEP in the tax.

Its possible they passed for that reason if they felt that Jerome wasn't going to help them, but Gilbert has been known to dig deep so something had to have been going on there.

I doubt the Cavs didn't put in an offer

Would've been something like an extra $52m in luxury tax payments on top of his salary. Essentially $60m for 1 year of Ty Jerome? I can't see it.

With Edey coming off the ankle injury, I imagine they're going to take his minutes a little easy this year.

Not after the playoffs

pretty sure I saw a post today suggesting that....

but yeah people got out over their skis on him, but people always get excited about unexpected seasons from guys on their team. We had Mavs fans ready to coordinate Dante Exum for like 8 solid games 2 seasons ago when Luka was out lol. Now if Dallas can clear a roster spot he's likely back for a min deal...

I guess some folks are really high on him .

To be fair to them , I still believe Poku will be an mvp someday.

There's some reporting that Ty's defense in that Pacers series really scared the Cavs in terms of making a significant commitment.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.
