Instead of Beasley? Downgrade spacing wise.

I truly do not understand the fit. Guy is a ball stopper.

He's not gonna shoot it like Beas or how Dennis did in the playoffs.

But a reunion for him with jb, it's a guy jb already knows and trusts.

Cavs traded him because they didn't want to pay him this summer.

Better ballhandler though who can get to the hoop with the dribble. He played for JBB before, so I get it. However, what does this mean for Ron Holland's minutes.

Unless there's a Holland/Fontecchio for Herb Jones deal cooking.

Beasley's dumbassness saved y'all. This is a better signing imo.

We replace the ballhandling void left by Dennis with a wing that can playmake and back up 3 positions when needed. Now understand, I AM talking about Caris LeVert, so just know he can be just as streaky and inefficient as Beasley can be at his worst. But, the book isn't closed on other signings yet, we have a lot of money we can play with.

Pistons fans are not happy. Schroeder gone, Beasley in dutch, and overpaying for Levert. Tough times

Yeah he is a decent slasher and driver. But Pistons entire guard and wing rotation are kinda like slashers (except Tobias). So question is do they need another?

Fit wise would been smarter to get a pure sniper to space things out for everyone. 300 3 point shots in a season needed to be replaced.

In the playoffs, once Beasley was crowded, he couldn't even get a clean shot off. Ivey and Cade can shoot as can Tobias, but even if I don't rate Caris that highly, if I was going to take position on what I need in the playoffs. I am going to get more from him when defenses take away catch and shoot threes. He's also a wing that allows Cade to play off the ball a bit.

So it's not all doom and gloom. Caris (to me) is just flat out a better player than Malik that contract year shooting notwithstanding. Who he was against the Knicks is the real Beas.

Great. Worse shooter, older, and erratic.

Team needs were obvious. Flew right over Langdons head.

Hate it. We finally gave Cade some spacing and had our best outcome in 15 years, and immediately we undermine that path for a guy no one was clamoring to sign.

I think Beasley is the one responsible for that

Don't like it. Would have been fine with him at "room exception" 2 year deal if we would have decided to operate as a team with capspace and found a use for that cap space but full MLE $ for two years feel like an overpay. Would have been like 2 years $18 million instead of 2 years $29 million.

Especially since he'll be 31 in August.
