Why is blowing it up not a viable option then?

maybe they'll bend to your will and move Bam and Herro

Not my will

Have to think that there’s some people in their circle that have floated the idea

Bend to the voice of reason

They finished 8 games below .500 and made the playoffs. The East is not better than it was. They will believe making the playoffs is attainable. Give up the dream.

As a fan does that excite you or have you just accepted reality?

Amazing how the Houston rockets went from rock bottom after dealing with the harden departure to contender that fast. Do they beat OKC? Maybe not, but they’re at that level.

Heat are in dire need of a full rebuild. They desperately need to start the asset piling and drafting high….

I’m predicting Atl and Charlotte finish ahead of Mia

Why would it excite me? It doesn't. Doesn't mean I'm gonna devote countless words to the delusion that'll they'll be blowing it up. They'll canvas the league to try to move Wiggins. And if forced to they'll sit Terry at the end of bench(hopefully) for his last year.

Atlanta maybe, but what has Charlotte done to get better?

Atlanta did that last year and Miami took their lunch in the play-in elimination game. Do you really believe Miami wouldn't go in and beat a Charlotte team led by LaMelo Ball in that situation again?

Also if youre predicting a 19 win team last season to finish ahead of us then why blow it up when we basically control our picks. We should be able to draft high and keep what we have.

I'm good with seeing Miami approach this free agency tepidly. Absent a roster-altering trade, Miami isn't competing this season. Miami shouldn't be quick to commit to long-term contracts/money. Miami should be aiming to maximize the value of what's on the roster for a move to come. If that move doesn't manifest in the next year or so, then blow it up (again, hopefully while having pumped up the value of current assets on roster) for maximum return.

3 of the top teams in the east just had one of their top options blow out their achillies and the Knicks have no coach. The only top team still in one piece are the Cavs. The east is WEAK right now. The only hope to avoid that are the Hawks and Magic finally pulling it together.

Collins and DeRozan are going to save Miami's summer. Maybe Malcolm Brogdon at PG?

The team already made a shift midseason. I'd like them to get off the Rozier and Wiggins contracts and just fully lean in to the youth, barring an unexpected major acquisition.

PG - Mitchell / Jackucionis / Smith
SG - Herro / Larsson
SF - Jaquez / Jovic
PF - Adebayo / Johnson
C - Ware / Vet Big

That's a fun mix of established and emerging talent. Give the guys bigger roles and see if they grow.

Marc Spears made a cheeky comment on ESPN that made it seem like Miami is talking to Al Horford.

Why do you look at their young roster and see improvement, but look at ours and not?

It's entirely conceivable that Ware and Jovic could make leaps this year too.

Brunson could be their coach and they’d still finish ahead if Mia

The east maybe weak, but Mia will be horrendous

Return to Miami Heat
