I've been on the fence with him like all our guys. Like let's be real, if he didn't score 30+ in two playoff games (to go with single digits in equally as many) are we even talking about full MLE money? He was kinda mediocre all season. Granted a good shooter but not much else, pretty terrible fit with Dame and kinda didn't really show up all season even in a different role. I think he's solid. He's better without the Dame/Brook/Prince lineups but if Ty Jerome got essentially 9 mill a year (and a player option) is Trent pushing that 14 mill a year?
He did his best work as a bench guy. I hope we’re looking this year to see if AJG can be a long term starter.
The bench work came at the cost of us starting Taurean Prince and Kyle Kuzma though. If Trent is back starting him and Green makes more sense. The AJax experiment was a complete bust, Kuzma went full Kuzma and I can't imagine we're looking for a dud like Prince to round out starting lineups again.
