“East is wide open” is such a cope
Mia just got curved stomped in historical fashion and somehow the ‘east is wide open’ narrative is supposed to convince me that they can compete with minor tweaks eh

East being wide open is more of a reason to make moves, not just chill

Do you have children or an annoying younger sibling? If so, that’s how you can view our homeboy! They say the darnest things, throw tantrums, sometimes say things that are wrong, or say things that are bait, but ultimately they do things for attention and what they want is to fit in and be liked.
With all that, they also do contribute and even sometimes say things that make sense and adds to the overall collective. For all his warts, he does keep this board active, is very engaged, reads most posts and responds to many, and does offer good ideas from time to time. Does hey annoy the ish out of me? Oh yeah, so often! But he also does bring life to conversations, hope traffics, and is passionate about our team (2nd to Bam of course).
Stop fighting it, accept it for what it is, and move on. All it takes is a shift in state of mind. We all have a wild sibling, child, or cousin, and 3ammy is ours!
Whenever/if ever the site admins get around to updating this forum they need to introduce a meaningful ignore feature - like other sites that completely remove an ignored users post and replies from your view
I’ve discussed this w/ admins/mods. I’ve done the right thing by board rules & put on ignore but can still read bs through quotes. I’ve even tried to put admins/mods on foe list but some reason cant.i seriously dont want to read the constant glazing of one player & hate of our organisation & one player in particular incessantly daily. This has been going on since around 2020 or when ever he arrived frm his hole. Rat
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

It wasn't fast. They were dead in Houston for 3.5 years. They had a great month of March in year 4(the 23-24 season) and got to .500. No one talked about that team in the city except when it was draft time. Hoping for the #1 pick that they never got. They were good last year. So now they're going into year 6 of a rebuild and looking to win their first playoff series since Harden quit on them. You signing up for half a decade rebuild? People think they are until they're in the middle of it.
What’s the alternative? Treading water for that same time and longer? There’s no Jimmy bailing us out of deep chit this time. Move on, time to transition to the next era. Drafting high and asset stockpiling is the ONLY way to build a title contender
There was no Jimmy last time until there was one. A player who had never advanced past round 2 as a rotation player. A guy people said was going down to Miami to cash checks and retire.
Keep living the dream if you want. The franchise you root for will never do it. Give it up.
If we’re all okay with treading water sure.

Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.4
I mean, if we're at the point that all of our young guys are so bad (many being in year 3 or later) that we're going to be top 5 bad, then everyone needs to be fired. That means everyone they've developed is a complete bust and didn't pan out. That means Bam and Herro are horrible franchise players who can't make us even remotely good. The scouting and drafting departments can no longer be trusted. Is that what people are expecting? If they need to tank to fix the entire roster, then the people who got us there should not be trusted to fix it. Just being logical.
I'm not seeing that. More likely to be a treadmill, play-in team, or a bottom seed right now.

Mia doesnt agree.
If they did, KD would be in Mia no?

Man I hear you, best thing to do is keep not engaging. If you happen to see something about you even subliminally, just gloss over it. The heat mods are good people who honestly just want to help facilitate dialogue here without having to drop the hammer down on folks, and to their credit they shouldn't have to, people should be able to articulate their opinions (or differences in opinion) without making literally every thing personal, or an I told you so moment.

I've read that Everybody is Bracing and making excuses for another mediocre season
I guess that unless a small miracle happens, That is what we will get
The front office is not doing it on purpose. They are just speculating Every year Since they lost LBJ.
Do you guys think they are afraid of being proactive??

I actually dunno who you are. this particular ignorant post says more about you. I dont even think we’ve ever had an interaction but here you are w/ this reply directed at me. Good contribution.

I think the Heat genuinely try, but their bad decisions in the past always strangle them and keep them unable to match what other teams offer. They trip on their own feet and always lack the team or assets that appeal to other teams or players. They are always essentially in debt with no draft picks and cap space. They have players who are not tradable or not worth much. They don't trade them when their stock is high, and they overpay to keep them. They overvalue their own players. I also think people don't like to negotiate with Pat. Whether it's because of how he acts now or in the past, his reputation, or history and rivalries, some teams have seemed to blacklist them.

Can we please stop with the geriatric set? The man is 39 years old. We don't need any more UDs and Kevin Loves on our bench or anywhere else.
Don't you know everyone comes to FL to retire?

With this said, it's the first day. I'll make a judgment when we're close to the season and the roster is set. A lot can happen soon. Just let things play out and then judge the team. I think it's a waste of energy to be doom & gloom on June 30th.
