it is but it saves significant off the cap in the next couple years and get more of a two way player without losing the shooting.

the other option was do nothing and not try to improve and Jokic probably leaves anyway.

Im no stranger to creating more problems in the attempt to solve a problem I created in the first place.

Jokic is going to be in his late 30s and riding horses in Europe when its time to pay off this debt.

Those are facts but can they get another chip before hand?

Hahaha yeah, I've been laughing at that, too. He's been criticizing the KNICKS' every move. The only problem is that the KNICKS haven't made any yet.

That is my hope...

I wonder how many quality options will be left in the end. There weren't many difference makers changing teams that signed for the vet min last year and I think Saric might have been the only guy I can remember signing for the taxpayer MLE last year. Even the guys that people thought would move the needle didn't have the impact some might have hoped.

These are the 2024 Vet min off-season signings I could find
Spoiler:
Alec Burks
Bol Bol
Cameron Payne
Charles Bassey
Damion Lee
DeAndre Jordan
Delon Wright
Doug McDermott
Garrett Temple
Gary Trent Jr.
Guerschon Yabusele
James Johnson
Joe Ingles
Jordan McLaughlin
Kyle Lowry
Luke Kornet
Markieff Morris
Mason Plumlee
Monte Morris
Patty Mills
Sandro Mamukelashvili
Scotty Pippen Jr.
Seth Curry
Spencer Dinwiddie
Taj Gibson
Talen Horton-Tucker
Taurean Prince
Thomas Bryant
Tristan Thompson
Tyus Jones
Vlatko Cancar

Not the most impressive list.

Trent Jr, Kornet, Yabusele, Tyus, Spencer were useful.

Half of the forum is having a meltdown. The world is ending...we're sticking with 95% of the squad that got us within 2 games of the NBA finals with an incompetent coach. Why aren't we blowing it up????? Give me a break!!!!

Yeah but that 5% is still missing and I would argue we are not as good as that 4-2 records looks, but who knows what the finals would have exposed.

MPjr was really bad in the playoffs so maybe getting a better 2 way wing ill put them over the top and I sure as hell domt blame their FO who most definitely won't be there in 2032 for making that deal.

"Fixing" a mistake and having someone else suffer the consequences is ideal.

Have fun in SF Bron!

Looking forward to the "well damn" post when he does.

He is worth about the same package that landed kd.

i'm pretty sure either draymond or butler would have to be included. are they doing that ?

I could definitely see them moving Butler in a deal for Bron. He is old as hell and tech bros aren't going to show loyalty to him.

As a microwave guard off the bench I like him more than Clarkson. And substantially more than Payne.

Payne sets a low bar to beat.

It is the bar, nonetheless.

If so, who else ? Malcom and Boucher would round off great offseason (based on $ limitations)

If they use the veteran minimum on him, what do they left to sign someone else?
