That’s why the Raptors front office typically tries to do things a bit differently like trading for Ingram’s rights or operating near the tax with a bunch of contracts they can trade or flip for players they want.

They’re not stupid and a lot smarter than people on this board

Bassey was who I was hoping to get for the minimum before FA started, and he's still on the board.

I would also be happy with Thomas Bryant or Oscar Tshiebwe. Mo Wagner would be great, but I think he's either priced out of our range, or just staying in Orlando.

Newsflash - Toronto isn't a free agent destination (unless it's a re-sign)

Even when the Raptors are a top playoff team or a contender they will struggle with attracting these role player free agents.

Yeah the East is getting stronger to the point where a couple of teams may have put themselves above the Raptors with free agency
