Sorry Klomp, but 15M a year. Not exactly what you envisioned.

Why not just hire vets to be part of the coaching staff?

There is a massive difference between being a player and a coach.

I guess he preferred that to competing with Dillingham and Conley.

He also got 7M.

We couldn’t match that.

Actually, we had 7M to match it. I hope he went to Orlando because Wolves has better options. He would have the starting job with Wolves.

We did not.

And even if we did, it would put us over the 2nd apron.

For Tyus Jones…

Im happy Joe stay here for another year. He is a vocal leader and will help the young’s improving. The fact that we didn’t go for Tyus show that coach’s trust ROB to be a 20 min player each night which is great. I think FO remember how we struggle after trading KAT and choose continuity for this year. I’m fine with that. No one know the ceiling of ANT Jaden and all the young players. We will be good!

Go get Jose Alvarado. Please. We give you Miller and Cleveland SRP.

Not for Jingles. We apparently want him because he is okay not playing. He is a glorified mascot with locker room and chemistry responsibilities.

I like Jose but am unsure how he helps in this situation. If we are keeping Dilly (I presume we are,) and Mike is okay playing 3rd string (best for everyone,) then we need a starting PG. Jose is a great backup, but not a legit starter. I still wonder if we are trading Randle.

Edit to fix. I confused Clarkson with Collins in my head. Collins is not getting bought out, Clarkson is, and he is heading to NYK on a minimum.

In this particular instance, the only real difference is about $3M in salary.

He plays defense. He could be a long term complement to Dilly.

Would you rather have Randle or M.Turner? Can Turner play PF next to Rudy? Seems ideal...and Naz could continue his 6th man role. Or if Rudy sits, Naz/Turner can man the 4/5.

Probably Turner.

But why would Indy want to pair Randle with Siakim?

To be honest, I got sidetracked by Shams saying earlier in the day that there would be a lot of money flying around. As one of the top gettable guys, I thought there might be a Bruce Brown-like bidding war.

Is Turner a FA? I was thinking trade Randle and sign Turner. But I'm sure he stays in Indy...

Theres a chance he gets above the MLE but someone is gonna regret that deal too.

Whatever insane amount we gave to Randle is worse and don't forget he's got a player option so that raises the value for Randle.

I'm pretty skeptical Randle has much value around the league and I don't see anyone wanting Randle's contract. Insane that Timmy bids against himself. I'd trade Randle for a highly protected second round pick and consider it a win.

Even if we traded Randle for no money back, we wouldn’t have the cap space to sign Turner.

What if DDV was attached with Randle?

Why? I dont get the Randle hate. Especially for Myles Turner. Turner is very overrated. He just sucked it up in the ECF and Finals or Indy might be the champs. He cost himself a big contract.
