Jordan Clarkson and the New York Knicks have agreed to a one-year deal at the veteran's minimum worth $3.6 million. Clarkson and the Utah Jazz agreed to a buyout agreement of the final season of his contract on Monday.

With Thibs gone I thought this might be the year that they finally moved on from having a higher volume small scoring guard in the first and second unit but I guess not

Major upgrade for our bench which is completely devoid of scoring or talent

He was 6moy in 2021 and finished 4th in 2022 for that award he’s built for NY

You guys aren't tired of ball hogging me first players, especially guards who control the ball?? Is this regime watching the nba. Pacers, okc. For the vetmin I can't be mad at this, I figured everyone would get hyped up for him signing for the lower amount then sign for the full MLE. The bench will be more exciting with Deuce and him coming off it....upgrade over Cam.

He's identical to McBride per 100 possessions. He just gets to shoot more on all the tanks he's piloted. Oh and he plays no defense at all. Also turns it over 4x as much. Just play McBride 30 minutes instead of bringing in a low efficiency chucker.

This is a great pickup. Clarkson is like a Lou Will. He can fill it up quickly. He can play point guard in a pinch. He is better than Cam Payne. He may also be better than Deuce.

But he's just worse than a replacement player at average efficiency. Throw in his turnovers and defense and you'd rather just play Deuce 10 more minutes, he'd have to regress so badly to be worse.

Can’t be mad at vet minimum..has skilled ball handling and scoring gifts.

Shot selection/processing and of course Defense is the huge issue..

Don’t want minutes promised..likely they were if he’s taking the minimum

He's 6'3 and mostly plays SG. You can stick him at SF though cause he's not playing defense anyway.

He's taller than McBride, about an inch shorter than him on wingspan and standing reach. He'll get minutes at SF for us for sure.

His assist to turnover ratio has never been that great, so I wouldn't trust him at the point.
