I still wish that Kyle Kuzma and Doc Rivers had zero affiliation with the Milwaukee Bucks but overall it’s been a pleasantly surprising start to free agency. If Horst can pull something crazy off and land us an actual needle mover now, this is an A+ off season.

Naz Reid 5/125
Nickeil Alexander Walker 4/62
Bobby Portis 3/43
Kevin Porter Jr 2/11
Gary Trent Jr 2/7

Horst is a wizard. Respect where it’s due.

Holy crap, I figured that Trent contract was part of the MLE, but it looks like it’s standard non-bird rights. 20% more than the min for a player with his number of years, and then a 5% raise.

We still have the NTMLE available.

Say Ayton signs. Kuz/PC/2nd or Bogo for Wiggins in some sort of 3 way.

Ayton
Giannis/Bobby
Wiggins/Prince
Trent/Green
KPJ/Rollins

With dame possibly back in March. That would be nothing short of an A+ offseason

Even without Dame that lineup could legitmatly make a run in the East

Funniest thing tonight was Bobby Marks vehemently denying that KPJ fit into the BAE and was dead set on him taking a chunk of the MLE.

Image

He also had Kobe Sanders as our 2nd round pick in one of his off-season graphics. These people could care less about accurate reporting around the Bucks.

Couldn't* care less.

Sorry, it's one thing that always gets me. And Marks is a ****.

I do not think Ayton signs here (though I’d talk myself into it in like 5 seconds if he did), but think Yabusele would be a nice alternative. If they get Yabu and retain Rollins and Sims we’ll still be decent next year if Doc stops sniffing paint and just starts the guys who actually make sense next to Giannis.

Sixers fans say if someone pays Yabu more than $5.7 million per year they can’t afford to resign him.

I think I’m more interested in Yabu than I am Ayton. I would take either though

I'd love to know what the market was for GTJ because he really has given us a chance to add actual talent instead of just rolling back mostly last years team. Did Horst convince to take less or is he just not liked at all?

We don't need to spend the full MLE, but it will be interesting to see how we use it. I dunno Bobby or Prince's starting salaries, GTJ's seems pretty easy to figure out. We'd be hard capped at 195.9 because of the BAE/MLE. Rollins and Sims' deals could also cut into that MLE depending. Could cut Livingston (and AJax I suppose but seems less likely). Also my numbers could be wrong, IDK.

Giannis - 54,126,450
Dame - 54,126,450
Kuzma - 25,410,605 (apron hit)
Bobby - 13,445,754? (cap hold number)
Connaughton - 9,423,869 (accepted player option)
KPJ - 5,134,000 (BAE)
GTJ - 3,697,100 (minimum)
Prince - 3,500,000? (minimum)
Ryan Rollins - 2,818,151 (qualifying offer cap hold)
AJ Green - 2,301,587
Ajax - 2,221,677 (unguaranteed)
Livingston - 2,221,677 (unguaranteed)
Sims - 2,178,069 (cap hold)
Tyler Smith - 1,955,377
-----------
182,560,766

MLE - 14,104,000
-----------
196,664,766 (over hard cap)
