Would go with Precious, Kai, Hayes at big. Not following minute by minute so apologies if they’re gone already
Go Bucks!

True. And I thought Kennard was a min salary guy. How is Kennard worth pre than KPJ and GTJ combined? He’s never been playable on D.

I am absolutely stunned we were basically able to get GTJ for the vet min. I guess the last minute of Game 5 cratered his value or something lol.

Rich Paul is gonna have the Bucks direct deposit Prince's salary into GTJ's account.

Worth noting that we do have Sims bird rights so anything we give him does not cut into the MLE.

Rollins, i have no idea how that one works

Jim also posted on Bluesky pretty much the same thing

#Bucks are cooking something up, bringing back Kevin Porter Jr., Gary Trent Jr. and Taurean Prince without touching the $14.1 million they have available.

They also have a $7.2 million traded player exception.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I’ve got a feeling both him and KPJ have wink-wink agreements that they opt out and get paid next offseason by the Bucks. Just needed to have access to the full MLE this offseason to improve the team, then they can go over next offseason while using early bird rights on KPJ and GTJ, and still have access to the TPMLE.

Bucks have clearly done right by Bobby so Bobby could call them and explain how it works. And cut them in on some of those Pat land investment insider deals to make up for being underpaid.

Id probably rather gamble on grimes to see if his philly play was real than target yabu, if the length of the deal wasnt long

Believe they have early bird rights on Rollins so they can pay him whatever. Only issue is have to stay below the first apron overall which I think the math still works out that full MLE plus up to $5M on Rollins and up to $3M on Sims keeps them under.

They can also try to pay the Nets in cash to take Pat’s contract of their hands which opens up using the TPE $7.2M to absorb another player or allows them to do something like Kuz for Wiggins. Basically they can free up Pat’s amount pretty easily.

Maybe I'm wrong but we're already probably pretty much at or over that hard apron with an MLE deal, if Sims or Rollins got deals over their cap holds essentially it would just cut into the allowable salary, their bird rights don't really effect that at all.

Baddy Chuck wrote:We don't need to spend the full MLE, but it will be interesting to see how we use it. I dunno Bobby or Prince's starting salaries, GTJ's seems pretty easy to figure out. We'd be hard capped at 195.9 because of the BAE/MLE. Rollins and Sims' deals could also cut into that MLE depending. Could cut Livingston (and AJax I suppose but seems less likely). Also my numbers could be wrong, IDK.

Giannis - 54,126,450
Dame - 54,126,450
Kuzma - 25,410,605 (apron hit)
Bobby - 13,445,754? (cap hold number)
Connaughton - 9,423,869 (accepted player option)
KPJ - 5,134,000 (BAE)
GTJ - 3,697,100 (minimum)
Prince - 3,500,000? (minimum)
Ryan Rollins - 2,818,151 (qualifying offer cap hold)
AJ Green - 2,301,587
Ajax - 2,221,677 (unguaranteed)
Livingston - 2,221,677 (unguaranteed)
Sims - 2,178,069 (cap hold)
Tyler Smith - 1,955,377
-----------
182,560,766

MLE - 14,104,000
-----------
196,664,766 (over hard cap)

They can also ship Pat to the Nets with whatever the most cash you can send is for a top 55 protected second and get a bunch of breathing room. Or if it’s close, trade him for Javon Carter’s two year deal. Or waive and stretch him.

Also I bet Bobby’s salary this year is whatever the lowest possible amount it is in the structure of that deal.

This is clearly a one time dip below the first apron to get the MLE and BAE.
