Knicks been after Clarkson for a while now. Dudes a shooting guard in a point guards body. We already got one of those in Deuce. Good low risk, high reward pick up though. Just saw he averaged 20 PPG just a few seasons ago. Definitely an upgrade over Cam, Sham and Wright.

He can fill the JR Smith/Jamal Crawford role off the bench, someone who can get buckets for themselves. You know what he is at this point of his career, but considering the price is dirt cheap, it's hard to complain.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.
C- Maluach l Jackson l Hayes
PF- Okongwu l Newell l Salaun
SF- Wiggins l Bryant l McNeeley
SG- Thomas l Wallace l Nembhard

i wouldn't put him in wright's role, but i'd happily upgrade shamet and cam with him

sounds like he just wants to play for us, so i'm down. having said that, a player like this is a perfect example of why it's important who our coach is going to be

He's 6'3 and mostly plays SG. You can stick him at SF though cause he's not playing defense anyway.

Draft combine measurements...

Height without shoes
6′ 3.25”

Height with shoes
6′ 5.00”

Wingspan
6′ 8.00”

Standing Reach
8′ 2.00”

He's taller than McBride, about an inch shorter than him on wingspan and standing reach. He'll get minutes at SF for us for sure.

His assist to turnover ratio has never been that great, so I wouldn't trust him at the point.

And his shot selection sucks.

https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/jordan-clarkson-this-season-shot-chart

rarely shot the corner 3 even though he made them at a high clip

decent shooting from top of the key and either wing (better percentages than Mikal last season)

he has an effective floater

He is below average around the hoop

But isn’t there a stat for him on “shot quality”? I thought I heard that he was at the bottom of the league in that category.

Dude is not a SF, not even close and won't spend a moment on the floor there...

Better than Payne and for the vet min that’s a solid get. Wouldn’t mind keeping Shamet for spot mins and better defense too though

THEY PASSED THE BALL!! we have enough scoring if we utilize the roster. So know passive kat may defer to this jock. NOT AN IMPROVEMENT. WE needed a true pg. Jalen already dominates the ball. Get a coach that can take control of this Kaos

It's a vet minimum deal. Go find me someone better that's available and is willing to come here at this price. smh

But he's just worse than a replacement player at average efficiency. Throw in his turnovers and defense and you'd rather just play Deuce 10 more minutes, he'd have to regress so badly to be worse.

Is this real life?

Nice little scorer off the bench something we've been missing since IQ was traded. Nice. If for the minimum thats a steal.

Both ESPN and NBA got Clarkson at 6'3". He just grew 2 inches since the Knicks signed him?

Why do people consider him an upgrade over Payne?

 at anyone that thinks this is a bad signing. They got a bench scorer for the vet min. He can create and get shots for himself, which was what this team was sorely missing off the bench last season. He is not being asked to carry an offense. He is being asked to simply provide scoring as part of the second unit. Our bench absolutely sucked when it came to providing consistent production. Clarkson helps.
