Lots of options for the vet min now. If you replace Powell in the lineup with Brogdon or even a Ben Simmons, that's still an upgrade. Powell's 5 minutes for per for those names? Sign me up.

No on Ben Simmons, Brogdon would be great.

Denver's making an effort to keep Jokic there long term. Pelinka's betting on him leaving in 2027. So we'll see.

Lakers look like blowing up, DFS > Ayton, Milton and Laravia, I think Luka asking out isn't far fetched.

The main gripe about it is Pelinka willing to stand pat until 2027. Luka will be 29 then? That's wasting a lot of time IMO.

Even if they get gifted Ayton on a buyout this year, he's not signing for the minimum forever. Next season, they have to pay Ayton and Reaves their big deals. Which will eventually eat into their cap as well.

I think there are merits for Luka to move to Orlando. Team's built to cover for his weakness. He's good with the coach. It's in the East where it's easier. And Florida probably has no state income tax. That's 4 solid points versus being Pelinka's cash cow for his career.

The problem is on defense. Ayton definitely can't clean up all of them. zi think Reaves is the problem, a really bad one. I think Reaves is another DoLo. Hardy's contract 8s about right, but Reaves asking for 30M. This is kinda Schroeder kind 9f situation a couple of years ago. And Reaves is not even more impactful on both end of the floor. You can't win over OKC, HOU, MIN, DEN, DAL, LAC, SAS. Lebron is definitely right, LAL stands no chance in 2026.

Agreed. Lots of options for the minimum now that teams are not too keen to jump on overspending to reach aprons. it's the new CBA.

I was personally hoping for Jordan Clarkson for the minimum, but of course the Knicks had to ruin that. Any one of Brogdon, CP3, Tre Mann for the minimum would be fine.

Reaves alone would be fine for a lot of NBA teams. It's his fit between Doncic and Vando now that DFS is gone. Reaves can score but can't play D. Vando can play D but can't shoot. Then you're circling back to Luka doing everything again, and being hunted on D on top of that.

Why do I feel that Houston has like 20 players on payroll and still signing people left and right?

They have to trim that number down by sending people out for picks or waiving someone.

Why Khalil? Exum is so unreliable, always out, and still not a good shooter. Not worth a roster spot

Would Naji Marshall for Aaron Wiggins interest anyone? I like Wiggins' fit on this team.

Thunder wouldn't do it, they are the chamions , they aren't great shooting team as it is.

He'd be the only qualified floor general on roster.

You are correct. There has to be a sign and trade with either Lakers or Hawks happening.

Reminds me a few years ago where our management thought we were okay at PG because we had Frank Ntlikinna, who to me is Dante Exum's twin

Actually, Exum is more effective defensive guard on the floor last season. Christie is better defender but not a great playmaker.. Teams leave Christie opens a lot. Among Exum, Christie and Martin, Exum deserves more playing time. I'd waive Powell to keep Exum.

Exum is not. He clearly shows that he can’t be relied on being floor general. 1 or 2 processions it is okay, act as defender okay (but not very good one), occasional 3 point shooter it is okay. But none of these are his strength, if we have cap space or roster space, it is fine to sign him at minimum, but if it is what we are right now, would rather preserve flexibility

Don’t waive a player so easily, Powell 4M expiring contracts may be useful for later potential trade opportunities. The problem is Hardy 2 years 12M deal (3rd year TO). We don’t have minor assets to dump him, other than Omax, my ideal case is to trade Hardy/Omax for expiring in return. Martin contract is big and it will be better to showcase him as POA and serviceable team offence player first.

Milwaukee sign Miles Turner. Will Indiana gets Ayton? Then, LA is lottery bound.
