Re: Plumlord Returns: The Mason Plumlee Thread
In six entire seasons the only big man with anything close to talent we’ve ever given LaMelo is about 45 games of Mark Williams. Plumlee has a real argument for the 2nd best, but he was so infuriating that it really hurt LaMelo’s play.

Can’t wait to hear the Jeffie spin on this debacle. Can hear it now….
“We’re so glad to get Mason back to the Hornets. He was our target all along. He brings experience, savvy, a strong work ethic, character and Hornets DNA. Plus he will be a great mentor for Ryan. And as a bonus he’s another white guy…”

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Don't forget Charles Lee chiming in with, "And he is obsessed with daily improvement."

I'm starting to feel like our new Duke owner mandated that if we traded one Duke Center we had to bring back another. tit for tat.

We are not his country club and we don't give a **** where he went to school, or that he owes money to the owner of the Phoenix Suns.

Re: Plumlord Returns: The Mason Plumlee Thread
I have a hard time believing that Jeff woke up this morning thinking "hell yeah, We're gonna get Mason back in a Hornet's uniform today. Mark my words"
How many of Jeff's targets had to get scooped up before they dialed up Mason's agent?
Was Clifford in his ear the whole time telling him about how great Mason is at dribble handoffs?

Re: Plumlord Returns: The Mason Plumlee Thread
Trading Mark Williams for the 29th pick and then resigning Plumlee is a masterstroke. I can't believe I ever doubted this front office. I know all of us have been thinking about how good our center rotation was a few years ago and how they need to get back to that. Sam Vecenie is going to be so impressed!

Dook is considered a SMART school. Appearing to believe that, can and often does make one look STUPID.

This is mind boggling to the point where I question their eye for NBA talent
I just don't get it. Why would you burn a roster spot like this?
Maddening

Not bothered by this. He'll stay out of trouble, defend, rebound and set screens. He'll be a serviceable backup for Moussa.

Re: Plumlord Returns: The Mason Plumlee Thread
Mason Plumlee EPM #s last season.
Off EPM 43%
Def EPM 14%
Overall EPM 28%
Vs his last partial season in Cha/LAC
Off EPM 81%
Def EPM 30%
Overall EPM 70%
Expecting the same player threes year later when he is now 35 yrs old instead of 32 is an issue.

PLEASE someone explain to me why you believe Moose can regularly play center? He is WOEFULLY undersized. No matter how much we enjoy his flash moments, you can break his tape down to show many more episodes of being overwhelmed by bigs there. I love his effort, and what he can do for us well off the bench. But expecting him to START seems an enormous reach. But my rant has nothing to do with fellow board posters. Peterson is an ignorant GM. I would almost swear he is SABOTAGING this team’s ability to compete this season.
Either he is nearing the timing on a major trade that brings someone like Claxton or Allen here, or he’s a complete idiot for making this decision.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: Plumlord Returns: The Mason Plumlee Thread
This truly is crazy levels of sickness to be doing this to us. Like, I am hoping he will just be the third C but even so... maybe he's the first C? This cannot be what we go into October with.
