Another 3-point shooter! Exactly what we need after only having two players that made 100 or more last season.

Welcome to the team Luke.

Adding role players that don't need double-digit shot attempts has been key.

Great day, great off-season.

Jake Fischer: Clint Capela is going to return to Houston by way of sign-and-trade, sources say. The Rockets are sending a 2031 second-round pick swap plus cash to the Hawks, in exchange for helping facilitate the veteran center’s second stop in Houston. – via Twitter JakeLFischer

I great off season with a bad last taste in the form of Levert's leave.
It would have been perfect to retain him and I do not understand spending on two players when we could have one with that money who does it all.
Now we need NAW and Kennard to do the same that he did.

I like Kennard. Sharp shooter and intelligent player who can create and is always a threat with the ball in his hands. NAW is a good all around player. Still, I would have preferred to have Karis back. All signs seemed like him staying.

We now have a bench with many above average players, but none who can really be like a starter. The difference between Daniels, Risacher and JJ and their substitutors is big. The same between Trae and Bufkin. I believe it is better to have 8/9 very good players than 6 who are good and then a bunch of players who are clearly reserves...

Trae
Daniels
Risacher
Johnson
Porzingis
------------------
Bufkin
Kennard
Krejci
NAW
Gueye
Newell
OO
Nance?

We depend a lot on the development of JJ, Gueye, OO, Krejci, Bufkin and how Kennard and NAW adapt to playing here.

Not for nothing but I'm pretty sure your a PTH blogger... Levert was too expensive at the end of the day. Hawks still have the pieces to add a premier wing w/o touching their core players so not too worried about a guy that played over his head with the Hawks. Which mainly was due to Trae's gravity.

Edit: not championing Brown or anything but he's an option if the Hawks 'go for it'. His contract is toxic enough to where it shouldn't be difficult to get done.

Example of another guy the Hawks can acquire easily if they choose to. Allow Saleh get his duck in a row before making the final move towards a legit run.

Levert leaving was expected.

We cannot have a guy coming off our bench that averages 11.6 attempts per game and expects to dominate the ball.

Yesterday, we signed two players that won't expect double-digit shot attempts, and that's exactly what we need.

He replaces Malik Beasley for the Pistons. I hope Caris Levert is their third option, like Beasley was, so you can see how he hurts a team.

Wait...are you saying we should have resigned Caris for what we paid NAW and Luke combined? $25 million? Heck no.

:D

This off-season has been very good so far. We've mostly got what we've been asking for.
Did we expect everyone to be completely happy? Heck no!
Personally, I'm happily awaiting the season's tip-off, coming soon to a TV near you.

We should bring back Landry Fields and Lloyd Pierce.

A+ if we do?

Thanks CLE. As much as I liked his game in the past, he was not the same player here and did nothing on the court from a team POV.
Larry had the worst Net rating difference of the team.

Maybe a great guy to have in the locker room, but not on the floor anymore

Obviously, no.
LeVert would have stayed for 16/17 mill.
