$70milper for SGA? Wow...here's goes the Thunder's salary blow up, they have their title but will they be able to keep that core together? This CBA doesn't seem like it's set up to keep teams together for long enough for dynasties to happen anymore. It's going to be more and more one and done teams unless they can figure out how to rebuild multiple times around 1 or 2 players.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Which means we need to act fast because the market is thinning out as I mentioned. The cheaper guys are basically all that's left.

All the guys you mentioned got about double or more what we have to spend. No way they come to NYC for half price.

Which means the market is thinning out and we need to get one who will...before other teams do. Is there an echo in here?

Besides Josh Hart what’s a role player Knicks hit on? We just throwing friends together hope they play well together. No outside thinking it’s starting to look like it’s being ran by Brunson for real.

Hartenstein, Divo, Bullock, Derrick Rose. Why do we choose to just ignore the obvious to fit a narrative

We should bring in Nance as a backup PF for the Vet Min and then start Deuce.

KAT/Mitch/Huk
OG/Nance
Mikal/Hart/Dadiet
Deuce/Clarkson/Mcullar Jr.
Brunson/Clarkson/Kolek

That's 13 players rostered, gotta get to 14 by the end of the year. Leaves optionality

Seemingly would still be under the 2nd Apron.

25/26 Money:
1. Kat - 53.1 mil
2. OG - 39.5 mil
3. Brunson - 34.9 mil
4. Mikal - 24.9 mil
5. Hart - 19.4 mil
6. Mitch - 12.95 mil
7. Deuce - 4.33 mil
8. Nance - 3.6 mil
9. Dadiet - 2.8 mil
10. Clarkson - 2.29 mil
11. McCullar 2.2 mil
12. Kolek - 2.1 mil
13. Huk - 1.9 mil
=

203.97 mil in Salary
2nd Apron - 207.824 mil

3.854 mil below the 2nd apron.

Room to add a 14th guy at some point during the season.

Can even bring Shamet back @3.6 mil and still be below the second apron.

All this is pre Brunson era. After we got Brunson we signed traded for Josh, traded for OG, Traded for Towns, Traded for Mikal. Traded grimes for old Bums who went on to contribute in the league even tho we didn’t want to pay him.

Starting to think it’s front office who don’t value role players. Every damn deadline we have enough I thought it was Thibs this whole time I was wrong.

We rather keep friends together than build.

knicksstuff wrote:We have about 9.2 million dollars above the second apron right now with 3 roster spots left. We have the tax mle and minimum contracts to spend unless we find a trade a somehow.

1) Shooter (Shamet, hardaway jr, or someone along those lines)
2) Big ( Horford, Lance JR, Yabusele, Boucher)

We can get a TMLE player, another vet min and a rookie min (even so, maybe we have to discount 50k or so) or 3 vet min.

I dont believe we will use the TMLE player if we cant get a real help like Horford, Yabusele, Brogdon or Ben Simmons.

I dont think we will pay the TMLE for players such as Boucher, Timmy, Sandro, etc...

That would be pretty solid, especially if we could squeeze Shamet back in. I'd still want to start Mitch next to KAT and then use our wings/guards for the bulk of the bench minutes.... Nance, Hart, Deuce, and Clarkson soaking up most bench minutes.

I forgot about Hartentein. Divo fits the you are here bc you are a friend argument. Rose and Bullock before we had Brunson. And Rose was a friend

Coming off the bench would be ELITE!

We need to trade Duece or move him to the starting line up. Our biggest concern is a starting center. We need to move Mitch and pieces ASAP.

What would it take to get CP3? He can finally win his championship in NY.

The rockets are forward wing heavy and probably could use someone like deuce. He would play well off of amen, Durant, and sengun. Don’t really know why Whitmore doesn’t get more minutes. He always seems to play well when he does. Tough to give up a guy that we know can perform in the playoffs with Whitmore being more of an unknown but it help balance the roster out more.
