I haven't really unpacked the implications. It's clearly good for this year. And we should be able to do more stuff still. I like those parts.

Someone who hasn’t had his minutes reduced on mediocre teams the last 4 years while his efficiency lowers and defensive woes get worse and worse.

I'll wait for the full details to come out because completely devastating your cap sheet for the next 3-4 years for a slight Brook upgrade has some real disaster potential. I certainly can't crucify Horst for not being creative anymore though. We'll see what we can do with the MLE and if they can flip Kuzma/Pat for a better wing and/or a backup PG still. Feels like there needs to be more to come (although we did say the same after the Kuzma trade...).

I think this speaks to a reality that Dame was likely going to come back severely diminished. So rather than pay that diminished player x amount over the next two years to have him contribute in a nonsignificant way, we are now paying him less than half and we were able to basically add Turner.

So the real penalty for this begins year three but now is now

I wanted Turner, but not to ruin our future even more. Hopefully we have another move or two left because this isn't enough.
