Bucks did him dirty and damn what a failure.

Bucks are paying him not to play. They didn't do anything dirty to dame.

lmao at Pel's..this franchise is genuinely cursed. Trade the Indiana 2026 lightly protected 1st for a pick in the 20's and immediately Indiana loses 2 of their 3 best players.

What did the Pel's do to deserve this wrath?

So the Bucks did this to screw themselves longterm? They realize theyre still FAR from a championship contender and now are handicapped for the next several years working with 23M less in cap space...

Don't worry, Pels also traded their own unprotected pick to show its not a curse but incompetence :)

Pardon my ignorance, but can someone please explain what 'waive & stretch' means'?

Before Giannis, bucks had 50 years in purgatory. Think they can wait 2-3 bad years to give one of their best players in history a shot at another title (no matter how small). I commend them for trying at least.

I wonder if Haliburton never gets injured do the Pacers overpay and resign him to make another run at a wide open east next year?

He’s overrated but the Pacers are a better team with him then losing him for nothing

25M isnt even that bad for Turner. I get they are likely burning a year but IDK, think they should have offered him at least that.

For him to go to MIL via FA it must mean IND wasnt really fielding competitive offers.

I am shocked. I thought the Pacers would keep Myles, especially at this price - they could have made moves to dump Toppin to stay under the tax. I thought they'd basically run it back and hold steady for a year without Haliburton... now I have no idea what they're going to do. Who's their starting center going to be???

If the average team makes $2 million per playoff home game, Indiana got about $22 million from this playoff run, if not more. If they kept Turner at this contract, their total salaries for the year would be around $190 million, about $3 million over the tax.

That's a Mathurin into a team's TPE or trading Walker into a team's cap space away from ducking the tax and still keeping your core guys. Even then, their playoff earnings would pay for whatever they would owe in taxes. Inexcusable piece of business.

Releasing a player (waiving them) and then using the NBA's stretch provision to spread that player's remaining salary cap hit over a longer period of time. It essentially opens up that cap space and provides short term flexibility for the team to sign a player (in this case, the Bucks) but they'll still be paying Dame Lillard his guaranteed salary for the next 5 years.

I think if Hali stays healthy they retain everyone at all costs. Turner played a big part of their run and worked well with Siakam. But now that Pacers have their pick back and Hali is out, they will tank next season.

I'm worried that's what is going to happen. I mean, the Pacers were the ones who offered Ayton that contract when he was an RFA. Obviously they were interested in him then, they might still be.

Thanks Myles for 10 years of loyal service.
I think he would be a PERFECT fit with Giannis and Porter, they could cover his poor rebounding while he stretches the floor with his outside shot. In Indiana he was underwhelming because we don't have strong rebounders and he was expected to be that.
Sad to see Myles go to a division rival, but not gonna **** on him after so many years with the franchise. Best of luck against anyone not Indiana.

P.S.
We have the poorest owner in the league I think. Myles wasn't overpaid and he still didn't re-sign him, in spite of being part of a Finals team.
