I was not at all impressed with Turner in the playoffs. One of Indy's weakest players. Plays soft. He's much better than Ayton and is more mobile than Brook obviously but I just don't think he's very good.

I wouldn't say 3 years of 20+ mil on the books after his old deal would have expired is 'devasting' but its not ideal.

Did this move free up 40 mil from this year, not including the Turner deal?

Well, that's going to saddle us for a minute. We could really regret this in the long run, but we'll see how it works out. It's exciting, as of now, like the original Dame signing I had mixed feelings about then too.

This also doesn't explain what we traded for Turner. But we might have some cap space next season to add another creative force.

I suppose. So we didn't take the extra hit. Still got that future & bullets in the chamber. Plus probably some space next yr if we can get rid of Kuz at the deadline for an expiring. But it's a lot to adjust to #'s wise to know how much is available now or later.

Year 3 we basically replace Kuz's hold with Dames stretch. Year 3 we only have Giannis (?), bobby, stretch of dame, and turner on the books. The three actual players are easily tradeable. Im fine with stretch dame.

yeah, i edited after his old deal. We would've been paying 65 over the next 2 anyways.

I personally think that’s Giannis getting out ahead of it and not wanting to upset Dame.

Seems we're using the room MLE on KPJ and Trent, so we still have that TPE and the picks, plus Pat as an expiring. I would be surprised at this point if we don't empty the clip.
