Rob is either sabotaging LeBron from catching Kobe in rings or its unrivaled incompetence. There’s no other explanations.

And a big fat LOL at the fact LA just gave Pelinka an extension two months ago. If players aren’t forcing their way to LA (AD), signing in LA for the LA lifestyle (LeBron), or offered on a silver platter (Luka), he’s utterly clueless when it comes to a roster building. He has the worst asset management I’ve seen from a GM. This is what happens when you hire a guy solely because he was a former player’s agent.

Dallas is looking stacked after getting clowned for trading Luka while Rob is worried about cap space two years from now despite having two top 10 players on his team right now.

If we get Ayton and say Melton/stretch big for the BAE. Sign someone like Ben Simmons (if Vando trade) for the min

And then trade for a legit 2 way wing, I will be happy

Barring this scenario, which feels like a miracle for Rob, even though it shouldn't be that hard, then Lebron should ask out

Cle, NY, GS, Dallas

Cle: Allen and Hunter to LA, Bron and Kessler to Cle, Garland to Utah
NY: KAT for Bron
GS: Jimmy for Bron
Dallas: Gafford, PJ, Klay, Naji/Caleb. Maybe return the 29 1st

Wildcards: Wolves, Spurs (just dont see him living in those 2 cities though)

No way he requests a trade. I think he plays out this season and then signs elsewhere next season if the team is still mediocre. I hope he's as shameless as possible and signs with the team that lost in the finals to make up for the seasons Pelinka wasted.

I actually really like Ayton if the Lakers nab him. Miles better on offense than any other center they could get. Injuries and attitude will obviously be a concern though

Lillard gets waived, Turner to Bucks is shocking. Milwaukee FO doing whatever it takes to show their superstar they’re serious and want him.

Remember when people riled on LeBron in 2018 for not extending and putting pressure on the Cavs FO to make something happen first, which they chose not to?

I wonder if Siakam is now acquirable given Indiana’s moved on from Turner and Hali’s out next year.

Yeah, he'll be available. But the Lakers probably won't trade for such a large contract that runs through the 2027 free agency class

It's stupid though. Unless you're getting Jokic, you're not going to have a better team than Luka/Siakam/LeBron

Siakam isn’t a good fit

I don’t think we have enough for Giannis, but could go AR, Knecht, Rui, 1st, swaps in 30-32

At least I think we’ll get Ayton now

Siakam is an amazing fit what do you mean? Swiss army defender, does well with the ball as a playmaker and scorer, can shoot the 3, and is versatile as it gets. Super smart too and excellent conditioning.

There had to be a trade if they’ve been so silent for so long. Same with Jazz side of things.

Jazz trading Sexton for Nurkic makes 0 sense specially w/ Ainge over there unless a bigger trade is coming maybe La is involved

There was never a point to Lebron taking a paycut without any concrete trade or FA on ground. Especially before seeing what Rui and Reaves are willing to sacrifice. Front office would have also needed to offer him a new NTC or he'd be a fool to waive the current and trust not to trade him midseason.

Also can't believe Rob/Jeannie are still running the capspace scam. They've been using it since 2020 to hide their cheap low salary/low years free agent strategy. Moving on from Lebron isn't actually a bad direction but don't piss on your fans and tell us it's raining. Even Luka will be alarmed at the plan of waiting till 2027.

The worst part of the capspace strategy is the mystery box element. Pissing your own players and passing on useful rolelayers for the very high probability no better free agent ends up available.

I dont know if he spaces well enough for us and non shooting C

He had a career high year on meh volume....so is that replicable or an outlier year and closer to a 34% 3 point shooter than 39%

His defense, energy, and rebounding would ne nice though

Not realistically happening of course, but its a better plan than waiting for 2027 of course

Ya no clue why Utah did that besides to open up space

But why give up a 2nd? Sexton is a better player and Utah has a ton of C's

I wonder if were looking at Collins+Kessler if they want to really move Collins and view him as a slight negative

If they value Rui as a positive

Rui+Maxi/Gabe expiring+Knecht+2031 1st+swaps for Kessler+Collins

I would rather use assets on wing and guard defenders and sign Ayton

No clue why we let DFS walk with no real plan here

Sign Ayton to MLE and Bae on Melton?

Siakam COULD play the 5 in some lineups.
Last two seasons he’s shot 38% from deep. Of course, Indy’s scheme helps facilitate some of that, but I do suspect some of that would carry over as well.

The number of people thinking Lakers would have used the money to do anything less than save tax. Lakers don't offer more than 2 year deals and as a result miss out on everyone they try to sign. Then constantly burn capital trading down in salary. They are well on their way to wasting Luka's prime years already. In for a rude awakening if they think this strategy is going to suddenly start working once Lebron retires or leaves. New owners have a lot to change for that to happen.

At this point I'm genuinely curious as to how long Pelinka can keep this Ponzi scheme going.
