Nets might jump into the Kuminga race now, they just traded their starting PF and MPJ can play SF.

Now how the Nuggets plan to play Jokic, Aaron Gordon and Cam Johnson together, have no clue. Maybe Aaron Gordon goes on the block.

Easily, Cam or Aaron will play SF or PF, switchable wings, more likely Cam as SF, Joker of course C

Let's pretend there's a deal to be done with Indy that includes Mathurin. What else would folks need added to make it palatable?

2 unprotected firsts?

Shepperd?

Other?

They’d need to take on Pat, two 1sts which both will suck, and all their 2nds.

I think AK would demand Nembhard.

Coby would be their cheaper Bane replacement.

They won’t trade Coward after trading up for him but I bet you could bet Jaylen Wells and a 1st.

I dont think Coby is going to be a crazy overpay. Look what is happening in the market right now.

Coby has not peaked. There is no pressing need to trade him. He’s 25.

Even if Coby hasn't peaked yet, I see no reason why we should be the ones who give him his biggest contract.

Depends on how big the contract is.

The Bucs are light at Guard.

I wonder if we can get a 2nd for Carter. Carter was on the Bucks from 2022-2023

That trade works in Fanspo but not in Spotrac

If pistons get Monk for Shroeder that’s be a big help to them. They have the D they just need more scoring and shooting.

Now were talking. Carter was pretty solid for MIL, good enough we thought he was gonna be an impact backup (or even starter) here. Different MIL coaching regime back then but same front office. Would be a good way to clear up the guard situation and not be forced to move Coby/Ayo

This 3 team trade would work
Bulls get
Rui, Vanderbilt, Connaughton, 2nd in 2031

Lakers get
Vuc and PWill

Bucks get
Carter and Gabe Vicent

Our defense gets better and we get a look at Rui
Lakers get a C and a player that Lebron can try to get the most out of
Bucks get guard depth for while Lillard is out.

I don't want any of those things. Besides, Lakers aren't taking on any money past 2 years so they can have a max contracts in 27.

I doubt the Bucks would be interested, either.

You don't want improved defense, a 2nd rounder and long term cap relief?

What do the Bucks lose? I would assume Vincent and Carter are an improvement for them and helps them before lillard is back.

They really like Connaughton.

Carter and Vincent are lesser players to those they could get for the vet minimum. Vincent does nothing (has shot average or worse from 3 for last 3 season, too). Carter can’t get burn on the Bulls. Neither is a PG in any meaningful way. FAs include Mann, CP3, Russ, Reggie Jackson, Payne, Fultz, Payton, Wright, Brogdon, Monte Morris, Exum, Cory Joseph, Bomes Hyland, McLaughlin, Patty Mills…. Probably missed a few in there, too.

Vuc and Terry work for Simmons nearly perfectly money wise

With Turner leaving, I wonder if there is a deal to be done with IND for Smith going back there. He knows the system and he's cheap (and Billy hates seemingly hates him). If he's not playing for us, maybe we could get someone like Mathurin or Toppin back.

Pipe dream:
- Vuc to Boston for Simons.
- Smith to Indy for a protected FRP or Smith+Coby for Mathurin and 1-2 FRPs.

Roll w Giddey-Ayo-Tre-Simons-Mathurin-Matas-Noa-PW-Collins-Huerter. No size, but I don't care. Run and gun and lose, flip Collins/Huerter/PW and maybe Simons/Ayo/Okoro for picks.

Giddey/Matas/Noa, a high Bulls FRP, a mid Portland FRP, and whatever draft assets you get in trade. That's a rebuild. But these guys won't sniff that.

The worst that can happen is the Bulls resign Giddey after Jones and stick with what they've got. There are so many players flying around that they could consider useful.

If the Bulls have some FA(s) and I mean solid pieces not superstars, in their sights buying out Vucevic has to be strongly considered. There are teams like IND with Tony Bradley listed on the depth chart, that's embarrassing for a Finals team. But they can't send anything to the Bulls.CHA has nothing, what could they send back? The Bulls just don't need $21M of dead weight coming back to clog up next summer.

Mo Wagner, Tristan Vukcevic, Jaxson Hayes, Christiam Koloko could all join the center mix, bring back THT, Issiah Jackson and Precious Achiewa are long, Trey Lyles, Quentin Jackson,

Supposedly the Lakers are watching and waiting on MIL tearing it down and trading Giannis. The Bulls would have to hope that Vucevoc's $21.5M and maybe Terry and Carter help shuffle the money in a huge deal.

The Bulls just can't sit back and hope to improve
