This is a ballsy move and super creative from Horst. Got to give him credit. Let’s we what the next trade ends up being. Could we get Wiggins?

Dude just wilted in the finals in a front court matchup he should have won handily. Indy management was not going to bring him back after that. A Bum. Lucrative business jacking up 3s and not getting rebounds at 7 feet.

He's a limited player who is better theoretically than in actuality. Siakam fought like a lion against OKC and the difference in toughness between him and Turner was noticeable.

I would love to know what Pacers fans think of him.

League source means Giannis or Thanasis or Dame.

Dame won't play this upcoming season, even if he's ready at the end of the season, at his age after what just happened you give him the entire year (including postseason if we make it) off.

These are the facts, let's face them and see what the other options are for now.

Thank you for listening Horst and Co.

While it sucks that we will be semi-handicapped in three years this team had to do something to stay competitive and they did.

Interesting. Seems they're giving it a go in the wide open East.

Have to say I've gotten some chuckles about how Turner sucks because he lost in the NBA Finals. Guy has been starter and key player for a team that's been winning his whole career. Made the final four last year and game 7 of the finals this year. But he lost in them so he sucks.

I was one who was onto Turner as a cheap Brook replacement years ago when he and Sabonis were overlapping and it was clear one had to go. Of course I was told he sucks then too, as he's gone onto crush the bucks over and over the last few years. That said, I'm now a bit worried we're getting him right as he's about to start declining. But, 27ish per year rather than some crazy 45 mil overpay make it palatable.

The Bucks understood late career Dame was a high-calorie, low impact scorer at this point in his career. There was nothing to wait around for in 2026.

To be fair, he's been dead on about Brook too.

Sad for how this ends Dame's career here, but he gets to rehab at his own pace, can go spend time with his kids, and can pick his own team then. Seems like about as good as you could have done him given the circumstances.

I think Turner wilting in the Finals is a little disingenuous. He still played some pretty great defense.

Surely this is a win win for Dame and Giannis.

Giannis gets another high level player this year instead of having to wait out Dame's rehab and see how he looks in 2026.

Dame still gets paid and once recovered chooses where he wants to play and finish his career, IE Miami.

Can't imagine any party is truly upset with this.

Turner was guarding both Chet and Hartenstein pretty well in the finals. Not sure what you guys are talking about. Now if you want to say Chet sucks and Turner deserves no credit for that, I will accept that, but most of the league thinks Chet is this great player who looked like trash versus Turner.

Turner was night and day better against us in the playoffs at the center position. I was wondering why that couldn't be us watching Turner play. Also he did great against the Cavs big men.

I've been clamoring for Turner on this Board for several years, including this year. He didn't have a good final, but I do give some credit to OKC.

Turner is a good rim protector and better rebounder than Brook. He is also much more switchable on defense. It's a great move, assuming the Bucks didn't give up the house in a S and T.

Yeah I really think Dame is done as a positive impact player, let alone as an All-Star. High calorie low impact sums it up well. Just awful luck with the injury.

Apparently Indy offered him well below what we did. They didn't want to pay the tax which they haven't done since 2005.

We will get Turners best years at a decent price, can't be mad about the fit either. All hinges on what happens next, we need a wing badly. maybe Cp3 can come for a year too.
