I am pretty sure that the Suns would have done the same with Beal if not for that dead money from Nassir Little.

Ayton, Clarkson, Cole Anthony, Lillard...the list goes on and on.

We will see if there are some Beal news today or tomorrow.

they would have been able too but Ishbia or Bartlestein are idiots who didn't read the CBA - so now they can't just stretch and waive him

I can feel someone would be unhappy with the minutes on the floor.

Indeed, Rockets are highly overrated. People don't realize this kind of roster construction never works. Jabari Smith minutes will be capped due to KD, Sengun, Steven Adams, Capela, and Thompson.

Eason? He's barely gonna get more than 15 minutes and he's a legit starter on most teams.

It's gonna be an unhappy bunch alongside a nonchalant don't care mentality KD. This team will crash and burn.

Waiving and stretching Beal was never a good idea because this team was reloading around Booker.

We cannot afford to lose 20M per season for five seasons when we don't own all our own future picks.

I think everyone on this board was in agreement.

I truly would be okay if Beal is waived - just not stretched

I don't think we could function as a team with that much immediate dead money on our books. Not under the apron, anyway.

Keith Smith responded to me last week. And yes, the Suns can take his $110m and waive him outright - or they could buy him out for a figure lower than 110 -- but he wouldn't be stretched. Just waived and bought out

And think about it - if Beal were to accept 95m of the 110 - that would be 7.5m towards the apron level this year
add in Richards, add in O'Neale &/or Allen - might be enough

Yeah, $95M is what Beal needs to accept for a buyout.

He knows pretty well that he is underperforming badly since he is on the Suns. He knows ball. This franchise bet on him and put him on a nice position. It didn’t work, it’s OK and now we want to move on another direction... can't you help us agreeing to some destination in a trade or accepting a buyout knowing that you will get that money (possible much more) in FA?

I don't think that's asking too much but obviously he will do whatever he wants to do.

I'm calling out now: One of Beal or Allen needs to be traded. If not, Koby Brea will need to accept a 2-way contract.

The SG Depth is Green starter, then Allen, then Beal, then Brea as 4th string. The PG depth is basically Booker and Gillespie. They need to unload 1 SG to create space for 1 backup PG.

If Beal remains on the team, I can easily see him being asked to stay home for the year while they bring Koby Brea as 2-way contract in order to sign a PG.

SG: Green, Allen, Brea (2 way)
PG: Book, Gillespie, Sign-Somebody

The Pacers were interested in Nick Richards. With Miles Turner out we need to get solid value for him.

Wouldn't it be just like Isbhia to trade for Mark Williams first before having true plans with Richards, O'Neale &/or Allen

I think that number needs to be $30m off the top

Yabusele signed with the Knicks 20 minutes ago 2/12m

Even having the TMLE can yield some ball players. That’s a good signing. But I am biased.

Tough shopping off the Minimum wage rack.

We dodged DLo so now…. Point Book is looming. We really need to see more of that? We have no handles on this squad

Not sure having a plan for Allen and O'Neale really mattered. They are both players that can fill in as starter or play a significant part in a bench role. If they are not moved now they certainly can be moved during the season when other contending teams get desperate to fill in an injury or need three point shooting. Better to get decent value out of them by being patient.

Kings helping the Nuggets with a backup big.

The ineptitude is staggering.

Aytonholics with a brutal hangover.

Jeezus Bobby… do we need to have that discussion again …for the third time? Guess if you keep saying it, it becomes believable… for you.

No matter tho, if that was happening it would have happened. Just get this pariah
gone. He clogs up the roster minutes and gives us nothing more than what we get from 3-4 others. Send him home even if we don’t waive him. I’d rather play Brae

I’m pretty sure once the season starts, his salary for this yr is set, then they can waive and stretch the remainder without his cooperation at a lower amount. Read it once but can’t find the source. We’ll see what happens. I just don’t think he has any value to us and just an annoying reminder how we got in this mess

I don't see Beal walking away from $30M regardless of how nice we try to come off and appeal to his playing sensibilities.

Jesus Frank
do we have to have that conversation again about Yabusele who you want to sign and he actually SUCKS as a player

You have been all over Yabusele - and you said it again earlier in this thread and he is nto a difference maker

he wouldn't add one gawd damn win to the column - thats the reality. NOT ONE SINGLE WIN!
