yeah this was a desperate play to appease Giannis and must have gotten his approval. They have a 5 that works perfect with him...but there guard play is suspect.

Brooke gave them similar production last yer.... they could have kept him for 10 million instead Damian and tunrner is a combined 48 million

Lopez was a FA that is from the west coast maybe he didn't want to be in MIL anymore. He's also 37 years old.

Turner is 29.

Bucks fans were saying he was washed and awful in the defensive end.

I mean what is said publicly isn't always what is meant privately. Brusnon was also 'pissed' about Thibs being fired.

hmmmm do you think this is him just covering up that MIL FO and org will take the brunt of doing Dame like this...and Giannis didn't want that on him?

Possible. Absolutely possible. Giannis is very sensitive to public perception.

But of course there is the chance that he wants out too but to me I don't think Mil makes this move if they know Giannis is planning on leaving.

At least he is UFA now and can chose when he plays next. And he will earn every cent of his big contract.

That's true

If Knicks had not self sabotaged and got KAT, turner and Mitch would've been great to have at center

Brunson
Mikal
OG
Randle
Turner/Mitch

With DVD and hart off the bench would've been finals bound for years.

Now we're stuck getting booted in the second round for the foreseeable future

How would we have signed Turner with that roster?

I prefer he leave Indy and sigh with the Bucks. Indy is weaker and MIL isn't really stronger.

This was a few years ago. Not sure. Could've moved hart or DVD in guessing.

Wild assumption that Deuce starts but, it's a better looking team than last year already. I don't care for Clarkson but, we got a backup 4/5 that is young and solid!

All metrics last year cried out that Knicks were excellent with a Brunson /Duece backcourt. Thibs refused to play them much because they didn't fit his big enough backcourt mantra lol

They just looked great together. I think Thibs' mindset was that if he started Deuce, he'd think like a starter and not a bench guy, and he wanted him on the bench so much. So he was afraid to give him much time with JB as a starter. This is one of the many things I found so frustrating about Thibs.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I just don't see it. It's not like it matters much. The next HC will have options which is a good thing. Get me a backup PG. Speaking of HCs....get me one of those too.

Yeah, they don't make this move without consulting him.

That's what it seems like. If he stays in Mil then this is very likely what it was.

he still can protect the rim a bit in drop coverage...but he is stuck in mud at this point. Teams can just abuse slower non mobile bigs in P&R all day.

I dont know if Giannis did not approve it. It would be odd ans risky to make this kind of movie to pleasure Giannis without his knowledge.

Giannini cant say he approved this deal because it would be a low move against Lillard.

You don't want Clarkson as a starter. TOO low BBIQ . You want him as a high energy guy of the bench who if off can be quickly sat down....if on he gets more minutes...he is the type that is a nice positive off bench when on or huge negative when off.

he at least will suit up next year...I just don't buy them not running this buy Giannis.

Like putting that amount of dead cap on the books for 5 years for Giannis just to walk out the door would be one of the wildest and dumbest FO moves of all time.
